The Utopian Body Poetics In Wang Xiaobo's "Future Novels"

The thesis is proceed from the perspective of comparative literature,and mainly uses the combination of impact studies and careful reading of texts to investigate Wang Xiaobo's "Utopian Body" in the “Novels of Future”series.The current studies on Wang Xiaobo's influence are limited to the simple enumeration of empirical relationships and lack of insight into the fusion and mutual interpretation of the influence relationship and the body.Therefore,this thesis focuses on the influence and catalysis of Western dystopian novels and related utopian theories on Wang Xiaobo's body narrative.On this basis,the fusion of Wang Xiaobo's literary view divides the writing into three parts: "intellectual thinking","sexual dimension" and "interesting survival",and strives to converge the "Western resources" accepted by Wang Xiaobo and his personal creation view.Furthermore,it elaborates how the writer uses the utopian body to construct a free individual subject,and then uses this to perspective the heterogeneity and innovation of Wang Xiaobo's body narrative.Here is a brief introduction to the main content of this article:The "Introduction" part mainly refers to the studies status of Wang Xiaobo at home and abroad,and summarizes and reviews the existing studies results of Wang Xiaobo from three aspects: ideological standpoint,language characteristics,and historical theme.On this basis,it further clarifies the studies ideas and methods of this article.Using “criticism” and “construction” as principle line,the chapter I begins with intelligence.Xiaobo Wang critically inherited the “anti-Utopia” experience of George Orwell,so the body written by him also owns dual attributes of “defiance” and “construction”.In the cage of anti-Utopia of “depriving wisdom”,the “body” gets alienation and ideology is under control,then finally revolt unsuccessfully.However,under the words written by Xiaobo Wang,with its own unique strategy,body gets full of vigorous vitality,coruscating strong construction power.Thus,“body” owns the rudiment of “Utopia body”Taking “the description of SM” in “sex and love writing” by Xiaobo Wang as the subject of analysis,chapter II uses the “Heterotopias” theory of Foucault as tools.The “Non-normality” sex under the text of Xiaobo Wang frequently happens in the rim space of Foucault's “Heterotopias”.In the space of “Heterotopias”,body would suffer severely discipline,and the “sex and love” reopen in this space makes the subject take the dual mandate of “digestion” and “enlightenment”.Xiaobo Wang not only uses Foucault's deconstruction as a tool to dissolve the alienated reality,but also constructs the reality with “Utopia body” and burdens the mission enlightened by subject beyond Foucault.Chapter ? describes the diversion when Xiaobo Wang constructs the “body Utopia”.Balancing the form and content,he pays attention to the interest revolution of external “language form”,also injects internal content with “game spirit”.With the interest of language and the impulse of game,he awakens the new subject with creativity and sensibility.His point has the same strain as “Aesthetic Utopia” of Frankfurt School.
