Research On The Format Of "V ? V?" For Teaching Chinese As A Foreign Language

“V+a+V+de”is a commonly used format in modern spoken Chinese,but so far Chinese scholars have not paid enough attention to it,and it is seldom mentioned in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.On the basis of large-scale corpus investigation,this paper subdivides this format into three sub-formats,describing them from the perspectives of syntax,semantics and pragmatics,and compares their usage,and then puts forward some Suggestions on teaching Chinese as a foreign language in this format.The paper is divided into four parts.The first part,“V+a+V+de”format for the type division.According to the semantic relationship between the action and behavior represented by the two verbs in the format,the format is divided into three sub-formats:behavior repetition,behavior adjoint and behavior alternations.The second part describes the three subformats from the perspective of syntax,semantics and pragmatics.The first is the behavior repetition class“V+a+V+de”,which has two subordinate classes.The first is the variable recurrence class.The verbs have the semantic characteristics of[+autonomy]and[+persistence],such as"chi+a+chi+de,","huang+a+huang+de"and so on.The other is nearly righteousness class variables.Two verbs have no difference in a strict sense.It's basically semantic repetition,where two verbs are two ways of saying the same action,but to describe an action,such as"hope and wait","jump and jump"and so on,mainly means the action of high frequency and persistent repeatedly,both parties often have hierarchy or intimate relationship.The second is the behavior adjoint class“V+a+V+de”,in addition to the senders action give it accompanies a condition,the two actions itself has"collateral"semantic characteristics,such as"chi+a+he+de","ku+a+han+de"and so on,said actions over and over again in a short time with frequency,has highlighted"behavior".The third is the behavior alternation class“V+a+V+de”,V1 and V2 is a reversible change relations of antonyms,between the two verbs said the event has the characteristics of alternate"but",such as"mai+a+mai+de","shang+a+xia+de","lai+a+qu+de"and so on,in expressing the speaker subjective discontent at the same time,also convey a kind of implicit persuasion.The third part compares the three subformats from the perspective of syntax,semantics and pragmatics.Syntactically,it can not only serve as predicate,but also as adverbial and independent clause.The category of behavior repetition and the category of behavior alternation can also act as attributive elements,but the former usually modifies the subject of the sentence rather than the central language,while the latter often modifies the central language rather than the subject of the sentence.Semantically,the behavior repetition class mainly represents the high frequency repetition of actions,while the behavior accompanying class emphasizes the frequency repetition of actions,while the behavior alternations class expresses the alternations of unsatisfactory sustainable behaviors.Pragmatically,the category of behavior repetition focuses on the vivid description of the action state,while the category of behavior adjunct focuses on highlighting the role of the whole action in the whole event,while the role of the category of behavior alternation is reflected in the euphemistic persuasion to the listener.The fourth part,combined with the research results of“V+a+V+de”format,analyzes how to teach on this basis.This paper mainly gives teaching suggestions from two aspects:the overall teaching ideas and the specific teaching process.The macroscopic teaching Suggestions mainly focus on the orientation of the teaching objects,and the applicability and rationality of the teaching methods.The arrangement of the specific teaching process is presented in the form of teaching plans.
