| Due to the rapid development of mobile phone online games and the game industry,game addiction,as a social problem,is gradually drawing the attention of society.In order to solve the problem of game addiction,China has also put online the game anti-addiction system,and also added warning information in the game,and issued the "Game Health Advice" to maintain the physical and mental health of minors.In order to investigate whether the warning message in the game,as a kind of page warning,attracts the user’s attention in daily life,this study uses the textual content of the Game Health Advice as experimental material to investigate the visual attention effect of the warning message in the game start interface.Experiment 1: A two-factor within-subject experimental design of 3(page position: top,middle,bottom)*3(warning text transparency: high,middle,low)for 40 college students in school.Subjective report results found that(1)the vast majority of subjects noticed the warning message in their daily lives,but did not consider the warning message to have a significant impact on their gaming experience,and(2)subjects recalled the consequence words in the warning message at a higher rate than the warning words.Meanwhile,by analyzing the eye-movement data of the subjects,the results showed that(1)the main effect of both the transparency of the warning message and the page location were significant and the interaction was significant;(2)the simple analysis showed that the simple effect of the location was significant when the warning message was opaque and the text was not significant when the warning message was in the middle of the page.Experiment 2: A two-factor within-subject experimental design of 3(warning message colors: red,yellow,and white)* 3(page location: top,middle,and bottom)for 40 college students.Analysis of the eye-movement data(1)the results of the ANOVA of the time before the first gaze of the subjects showed that the main effects of the warning message color and location were significant and the interaction was significant,and the results of the simple effects analysis showed that the simple effects of color were significant under the location condition,and the simple effects of location were also significant under the color condition of the warning message.(2)A two-factor repeated-measures ANOVA of the total attention span of the subjects showed that the color main effect of the warning message was significant,the location main effect margin of the warning message was significant,and the interaction between the two was not significant.Based on the above experimental results,this study found that(1)individuals’ processing depth for consequence words was higher than for warning words in textual warning messages.(2)On the game warning page,the warning message located at the bottom of the page is the least likely to get the attention of individuals.(3)At the same page location,highly transparent textual information is least likely to attract the attention of the subjects.(4)For the color appearance of the warning message,both red and yellow as warning message colors are better than the white display appearance. |
