The Study Of Dialect Words In "Zhuzi Yucai"

Zhuzi Yu Lei is a record of Zhu Xi and his followers' lectures and discussions.It includes not only the explanations of the philosophical thoughts of Zhou,Cheng,Lao,Shi and other theories,but also includes history,literature,politics,and personal scholarship.Zhuzi Yu Lei is a rich content,which can summarize Zhu Xi's thoughts and the actual records reflecting the trend of thought of the times.From the linguistic point of view,due to the attribute of the quotation style of Zhuzi Yu Lei,its language does not avoid vulgarity,so many spoken vocabulary at that time are retained in the book.Therefore,Zhuzi Yu Lei is a highly valuable document to study the appearance of language vocabulary at that time.Some of the recorded words belong to dialect words from various dialect areas.These dialect words may not have a proper interpretation in various dictionaries,so the research on these dialect words is particularly important.And if we can clarify the meaning of these dialect words,it will help us better understand the content of Zhuzi Yu Lei.Therefore,this thesis will select some difficult or typical dialect words from Zhuzi Yu Lei,study the meaning and formation of words and the process of spreading,and select some dialect words to explore their relationship with common words.This thesis is divided into three parts:The first chapter focuses on interpretation of the dialect words of Zhuzi Yu Lei.The collected and selected dialect words are classified according to the number of words,and the process of the change and spread of their meaning and the current popular areas of the dialect words are explained.The second chapter analyzes the relationship between the dialect words and the common words in Zhuzi Yu Lei.It selects some representative words,shows the process of their decline from the former common words to modern dialects,explains the reasons for their decline.And through case analysis,it shows how several groups of dialect words compete with each other,and how common words select among them.The third chapter is the significance of the study of dialect words in Zhuzi Yu Lei.The study of dialect words helps us understand some ancient folk customs,and also has some help for our dictionary revision work,for example,we can supplement some uncollected words,meanings and instances of first use in the Great Chinese Dictionary.
