Research On Marx And Engels' Moral Thoughts

This paper holds that Marx and Engels’ moral thoughts not only include the general theoretical generalization made by Marx and Engels on the origin,essence,basis,characteristics,development law and social and historical function of morality in the development of their thoughts,also include Marx and Engels remold,inherited and criticized the moral concepts,moral norms,moral principles and moral evaluation methods put forward by the modern western thinkers before them.If we only understand Marx and Engels’ moral thoughts from the previous concepts,definitions,ethical categories and empirical phenomena,we cannot get the essentials,and we should be noted that Marx and Engels,based on their new world outlook--historical materialism,initiated the correct scientific understanding of morality,a social ideology,namely,Marx and Engels’ moral thoughts believe that moral is the concentrated reflection of the social material benefit relations,and ultimately determined by the social and economic relations;Morality has social history,class nature,relativity and concreteness;There is no eternal,abstract,perfect,absolute,super-class,super-historical moral code;In social communication,morality plays the functions and functions of evaluation,regulation,standardization and guidance.Communists oppose critical moralization and empty moral preaching,and pay attention to the historical unity of fact judgment and value judgment.This paper also points out that Marx and Engels’ moral thought of the above understanding of morality is a major change in the history of the development of human moral thought.To study Marx and Engels’ moral thought is the necessary requirement to grasp the historical materialism.To fully and systematically reveal the moral thoughts of Marx and Engels in theory,can not only help us to understand the unity of truth and morality,of moral criticism and capital criticism,of moral evaluation and historical evaluation in Marx and Engels’ moral thought,but also correctly understand the moral problems in contemporary Chinese society and reflect on moral phenomena such as moral decline,moral crisis and moral dilemma,and it also plays an important guiding role in practice in helping build socialist core values and promoting the development of the moral quality of citizens in the new era.
