The development of Chinese film has been going on for a hundred years,and the emergence of various types of films enriches film creators.Now,they have entered a new period.Since the 1990s,the works of the sixth generation of Chinese directors began to be active on the big screen.A general survey of the styles of these directors'works reveals that almost all of them are creations in realistic themes.Since the beginning of the new century,new ways have appeared in the creation of scripts,stories and content.What's more,they share the same characteristics:they reveal and criticize the reality,and use the form of movies to arouse people's thoughts on social topics and sharp contradictions that are commonly concerned by the public.However,the core of this kind of film creation is how to tell the story.Narrative is the core of the content of film works.2018 is the year of "Realism" for Chinese films,with a wide variety of works featuring realistic themes.In this series of works,there is a common feature that is based on the creation and adaptation of real events and characters.It not only leads to discussion of the core events in the film,but also gives the audience a deeper understanding of the film's main idea.The author analyzes the Narrative features of domestic realistic films since the new century,and how to create films through narration while giving attention to dramatic expression.My micro movie "The Next Station" learns from the Narrative features and shooting techniques of realistic films,showing the ordinary story of a little man like a takeaway boy.This paper gives an overview of the concept definition,development process and theme characteristics of realistic films,and analyzes the creation of realistic films as well as the application of audio-visual elements.At the same time,I studied the above theories and narrative techniques,and made a systematic explanation and analysis of the director's graduation product" The Next Station ",so as to achieve the purpose of combining theory with practice.
