Automatic emotion regulation frequently occurs in our real life, and has unique advantages.Individuals need only consume less cognitive resources, and emotion regulation can be performed automatically and quickly, and in a stable and smooth way to our society.Behavior and cognitive processing have an important impact and have become hot topics and research topics in psychology of emotion, cognitive psychology and social psychology.Studies have shown that the idiom matching task can successfully and effectively initiate the participants' automatic emotion regulation. At present, there are very few researches on automatic emotion regulation and altruistic behavior at home and abroad. Can matching tasks with positive emotional meaning idioms implicitly and successfully initiate subjects' altruistic goals? How does the idiom matching task affect the participants' subsequent charity donation tasks? Whether this unconscious effect can still be played has not yet been proved by empirical evidence. In addition, after the idiom matching task, whether subjects' unconscious perception of idioms with positive emotional meanings can produce altruistic attentional bias connections, and then affect people's cognition and behavior is still an unknown concept. Therefore, the effects of automatic emotion regulation on altruistic behavior and attention bias are the main issues discussed in this study. There are two research contents in this thesis, which are as follows: First, explore the impact of automatic emotion regulation on altruistic behavior. This part adopts the charity donation task paradigm.First, the participants are required to complete the idiom matching task,so as to start the participants' automatic emotion adjustment goals. Then, they are required to conduct charitable donations and emotional experience evaluation.Differences between charitable donations and emotional experiences to determine whether automatic emotion regulation has an impact on altruistic behavior.Second, explore the effect of automatic emotion regulation on attentional bias. This section uses the flanker experimental task paradigm and dot-probe task paradigm. There are 4 experiments in total. The experiments require the subjects to complete the idiom matching task first, thereby starting the subject's automatic emotion regulation goal, and then asking the subjects to complete the flanker task or dot-probe task.Tasks to determine the effect of automatic emotion regulation on attentional bias through differences in response time or correctness. The results of the study found that the task of matching with idioms containing positive emotional meanings can successfully initiate the subject's automatic emotion regulation goals.Automatic emotion regulation can make subjects have more altruistic behaviors and experience more positive emotional experiences and weaken negative emotional experience and promotion of positive attention bias. This shows that automatic emotion regulation can effectively change an individual's emotional state, change behaviors, point to positive regulation, and improve mental flexibility. This is of great significance to the formation of altruistic qualities such as modesty, help, donation, voluntary service, cooperation and sharing in social interactions.
