The thesis takes the imagery of Nanjing in contemporary film and television works as the research object,and uses Kevin Lynch's urban imagery theory as the theoretical basis,and uses literature research,text analysis,interdisciplinary research and other research methods to pass through The TV series sorted out and tried to clarify and answer three questions.First,what is the specific image of the city in Nanjing? The second is how does the imagery of Nanjing appear in film and television works? Third,how was the image of Nanjing formed?The first chapter defines the concepts of imagery and urban imagery,combs the two major elements of urban imagery,and analyzes the relationship between material and non-material elements.The second chapter examines the Nanjing humanistic images in the film and television works,selects the unique humanistic landscape of Nanjing,and combines the images of the Ming City Wall and Qinhuai River in the film and television works to analyze its continued cultural connotation and symbolic significance.The third chapter examines the image of Nanjing War in film and television works.Based on historical historical facts such as the War of Resistance Against Japan and the War of Liberation,it sorts out the image of war in film and television works on the theme of the Nanjing Massacre and the Republic of China.The fourth chapter examines the contemporary images of Nanjing in film and television works,taking the film works of sixth-generation director Lou Ye,youth-themed film and television works,and modern urban-themed film and television works as samples,exploring the image of Nanjing's contemporary city and looking for different works.The personality and commonality of contemporary imagery.The fifth chapter regards Nanjing as the assembly of multiple symbols,following the discussion in the first four chapters,revealing the aesthetic qualities of Nanjing's image,and exploring the internal connection between Nanjing and Nanjing's imagery from the four dimensions of politics,economy,culture,and personality.Analyze how the rich symbolic meaning of Nanjing promotes the generation and expression of Nanjing imagery.The paper points out that many factors such as Nanjing's natural land-forms,historical humanities,citizens' markets,and traditional customs affect Nanjing's urban spirit and urban culture,and Nanjing's unique urban image is an important way to interpret Nanjing's urban spirit and urban culture.The image of Nanjing in the film and television works is that the creator uses the image to construct a Nanjing city image that combines documentary and artistic.As the birthplace of Chinese civilization,one of the four ancient capitals of China,and the old capital of the Republic of China,Nanjing is a city that has experienced vicissitudes.The special geographical location and the historical integration of north and south have created the diversity ofurban culture and urban spirit in Nanjing.In the film and television works is the diversified image of Nanjing.Secondly,the image of Nanjing is also changeable.With the development of economy and society and the acceleration of the urbanization process,Nanjing image must be constantly updated and perfected when constructing and expressing the urban space of Nanjing.
