Research On Laozi's Taoism From The Perspective Of Body Theory

The "Tao" in Lao-tzu has both existence and value.Lao-tzu has many descriptions of these two aspects of "Tao".For these two aspects of "Tao",contemporary Lao-tzu researchers have put forward many opinions,trying to unify "existence" and "value".However,due to improper methods,the two aspects of "Tao" could not be successfully unified in the end.The interpretation of "Tao" must start from the underlying logic of Lao-tzu's thought,the understanding of "Tao" should not only grasp it objectively,but also go deep into the fundamental method of Lao-tzu's understanding of Tao.The definition of Tao in Lao-tzu is different from the general epistemology,which is a kind of comprehension theory.The theory of the body provides a methodological breakthrough for the interpretation of "Tao".The method of body can combine the ontological meaning and axiological meaning of "Tao".According to the name of "Tao",it can be concluded that the existence characteristic of "Tao" is "trance"."Trance" is not a concept acquired through rational or perceptual knowledge,but through physical awareness,mainly through the characteristics of the cognitive integrity of the body,on the spot awareness.The concepts of exist?not exist?mysterious and empty are also the characteristics of the existence of "Tao".These concepts are also the reflection of "the way of the body".The axiological meaning of "Tao" includes mysterious virtue?not reckless?vacuity?simplicity?lack of private desire and so on.The value of dao is the value attribute of the dao of being.The existence and value can be unified through the character of the body's "Being-in-the-world" and the relation of "before subject and object" and "beyond subject and object".These values can be recognized through the concept that "the body is the giver of values".The "Tao" is the totality of existence,the body is a part of the "Tao",and the "Tao" inherent in the body,this is the logical basis that the existence and value of the Tao can and only can be recognzed by the body.The method of body can realize and unify the existence and value of Tao."The method of body" reveals that "Tao" is the unity of existence and value.
