This paper aims to study the impact of aging on the spatial distribution of the economy under the framework of a neoclassical economic growth model. The study finds that:First, the impact of aging on the spatial distribution of GDP and per capita GDP is not the same, and the spatial distribution of per capita GDP is more affected.Second, the convergence effect of the aging rate in the previous period on GDP spatial distribution is More than the differentiation effect, but the effect of the aging rate change is the opposite. The article is divided into seven parts. The first part is the introduction, which introduces the background, purpose and significance, ideas and framework, and some possible innovations.Studies in domestic and overseas are combed in the second part, which finds that the impact of aging on economic growth is not yet conclusive, that the aging of the economic space distribution is very few,and that the organic combination of the empirical analysis on the impact of aging on economic growth and on the economic spatial.distribution is less. The third part logically deduces the impact of population aging on economic growth and the impact on economic spatial distribution. The result shows that there are two effects on convergence and differentiation of economic spatial distribution. The fourth part takes the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration as a case to study the actual role of aging in the spatial distribution of the economy in the reality. It finds that particularly in Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration, aging has little impact on the spatial distribution of GDP,but great influence on the spatial distribution of GDP per capita. The fifth part,in a driving force view, establishes the system dynamics model, taking the Yangtze River Delta as a case study, and studies the impact of aging on the economic spatial distribution. The conclusion not only confirms the view of the third part and explains the phenomena described in the fourth part, but also finds that the impact of the last stage of the aging level and the current aging rate on the economic distribution is different. The seventh part, based on the research results, puts forward some suggestions on the urban agglomeration in the Yangtze River Delta from two aspects:promoting economic growth and optimizing the spatial distribution of the economy.
