Laos Participates In The Study Of Transportation Cooperation In The Greater Mekong Subregion

Traffic inconvenience has become the bottleneck of economic and social development in Laos.The purpose of this study is to provide some useful references for Laos to participate in transportation cooperation in Mekong Subregion Cooperation.The significance of this research is: the role of Laos in the Mekong sub regional cooperation in transportation from the inland country perspective,provide a theoretical basis for transport cooperation in the Mekong sub regional cooperation;at the same time,provide a useful reference for GMS transport facilitation cooperation The Belt and Road "under the initiative.This study will mainly adopt theoretical research method,literature analysis method,survey method,comparative analysis method and data analysis method and other research methods.The Greater Mekong Subregion Cooperation is the simplest and primary regional economic integration cooperation.On this basis,although its specific project cooperation is easy to carry out,the overall and in-depth cooperation is quite difficult.The Mekong sub region cooperation mechanism is numerous,and has attracted wide attention from the international community.The basic conditions for the development of the transportation system in Laos are the worst.However,the Lao government attaches great importance to the transportation cooperation with the Greater Mekong subregion.Transportation cooperation in the Greater Mekong subregion has directly promoted the socio-economic development of Laos.Although Laos has a high enthusiasm and enthusiasm to participate in the Greater Mekong Subregion transportation cooperation,it is also facing a large number of GMS cooperation mechanisms,but it is still not perfect,the big powers are actively involved in the sub region,the political and economic interests are becoming increasingly prominent,the political situation in some countries is unstable,and the problem of security is outstanding and the region lacks financial investment.There are many practical problems,such as the platform,lagging infrastructure construction in Laos,etc.Only take active coordination and cooperation mechanism,and constantly improve its coordination function,balance the interests of all countries,and "The Belt and Road docking,regional political stability,strengthen cooperation in the field of security,to build a new financing platform,and actively improve the infrastructure construction and so on can continue to promote Laos and the Greater Mekong sub region The development of regional traffic cooperation.The transportation cooperation in the Greater Mekong sub region has made significant progress,but it is still not mature in general,but it has great potential for growth.Laos’ s active participation in transportation cooperation in the Greater Mekong subregion is the key to the implementation of Lu Suoguo’s strategy of "land alliance".Moreover,by strengthening transport cooperation with the Greater Mekong sub region,Laos will help promote regional prosperity and narrow the development gap between itself and ASEAN countries."The Belt and Road" initiative "interoperability" international cooperation for the Greater Mekong sub regional transportation cooperation provides new opportunities.Moreover,the mutual penetration of the information of the partners and the full effort to build the infrastructure will provide the greatest assistance for regional cooperation.It is expected that this study will provide reference for Laos and the Greater Mekong Subregion transportation cooperation and common development,and promote the development goal of the Great Mekong Subregion transport facilitation.
