Relapse refers to the behavior of drug addicts who restart using of drugs or other drugs that they relied on before detoxification for various reasons.This is not only the problem of addiction faced by drug addicts,but also a difficult problem in China's drug rehabilitation and drug control work.Mindfulness is a kind of psychological intervention that originated from the traditional culture of the East and has been scientifically developed in the West.Now,it is widely used in the treatment of mental illness,improving the quality of life and enhancing positive emotions.Studies have investigated the intervention of mindfulness training on substance addiction and the addiction of male drug abusers.Therefore,this study is to explore the effect of mindfulness training on the relapse tendency of female drug addicts.This study was to investigate the intervention effect of mindfulness training on reducing about the relapse tendency of female drug addicts,and was divided into two sub-studies.Study one was to explore the relationship between the level of mindfulness and the relapse tendency,and test the mediating role of resilience and positive emotions between mindfulness and relapse tendency.The study used The Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire(FFMQ),The Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale(CD-RISC)and The Positive and Negative Affect Scale(PANAS)to conduct 191 female drug addicts.survey.Correlation analysis found that there was a significant negative correlation between mindfulness and relapse tendency(r=0.173,p<0.05).Resilience and positive emotion played a mediating role in the relationship between mindfulness and relapse tendency.From Study two,we can get the conclusion that there is a significant negative correlation between mindfulness and relapse tendency,and resilience and positive emotion are the mediators of the relationship between mindfulness and relapse tendency.That is to say,mindfulness reduces their relapse tendency by affecting the resilience and positive emotions of female drug addicts.Study one tested the relationship between mindfulness and the relapse tendency,and initially explore the possible mechanisms of the relationship between them.Study two examined the effect of mindfulness training on reducing the relapse tendency of female drug users under the basis of the relationship between mindfulness and the relapse tendency of Study one.The study enrolled 36 participants and they were randomly divided into the mindfulness training group and the waiting control group.The mindfulness training group participates accept an 8-weeks of mindfulness training in addition to the normal drug treatment activities of the drug rehabilitation center,the waiting control group only receive the normal treatment of the drug rehabilitation center.Psychological assessments were performed before and after the 8-week intervention.The relapse tendency of female drug addicts was measured by the compulsory detoxification tendency psychological survey questionnaire.The FFMQ was used to measure the mindfulness level of the drug addicts.The Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale(CD-RISC)and The Positive and Negative Affect Scale(PAN AS)were used to measure the resilience,positive and negative emotions of the drug addicts.The current study was to test the effect of mindfulness training on the relapse tendency of drug addicts.In the end,36 participants entered the complete data analysis,Because the participants were in the drug rehabilitation center,they were able to ensure the participation of mindfulness training and the conpletion of psychological assessment.First of all,independent sample t-test was performed on the pre-test data of the mindfulness training group and the waiting control group.It was found that there was no significant difference in the level of mindfulness and relapse tendency between the two groups.Then,the paired sanple t-test was performed before and after the mindfulness training group and the waiting control group.The results showed that the relapse tendency of the mindfulness training group was significantly decreased after 8 weeks of intervention(t=-2.62,p<0.05),and the mindfulness average Significant elevations were observed(t=2.04,p=0.057),while the level of mindfulness and relapse tendency of female drug addicts in the waiting control group did not significantly increase.This showed that after eight weeks of intervention of mindfulness training,the relapse tendency of female drug abusers is significantly reduced.Study two can conclude that mindfulness training can significantly reduce the relapse tendency of female drug abusers and increase the level of mindfulness of participants.Through the whole study,it can be concluded that mindfulness was negatively related to relapse tendency.Resilience and positive emotions are the mediators of the relationship between them The mindfulness training has a reducing effect on the relapse tendency of female drug addicts.
