Research On Chinese Citizens' Political Participation In Weibo

The rapid development of Internet technology has spawned many applications,and one of the most popular social software at present is Weibo.Weibo is one of the domestic mainstream social media,and it is also an authoritative platform for government and enterprises to voice their opinions.The efficiency and openness of Weibo make it a natural hot topic communication square.Therefore,many hot events start on Weibo,and the latest progress is also timely presented on Weibo.Political participation is an important part of civil society life,and Weibo has become a popular choice for citizens to participate in political affairs.Weibo political participation is an innovation of the political participation model,which has played a significant positive role in the process of “National People's Congress and Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference” and rights protection.It has stimulated the subject consciousness and enthusiasm of citizens' political participation,broadened the channels of democracy and optimized the network supervision environment.However,the negative effects brought by political participation of Weibo cannot be ignored,such as the flood of false information,irrational political participation and group polarization.This paper discusses the practical basis and development status of the political participation of Weibo,analyzes the influences of Weibo on the political participation of Chinese citizens with typical cases in real life,and puts forward countermeasures for the existing problems from three aspects of technology companies,citizens and government.In this way,citizens can pay more attention to and get involved in political life in an orderly way.The government can improve the feedback efficiency of political participation results through Weibo,and form a good interactive mode between citizens and the government,so as to promote the development of socialist democratic politics with Chinese characteristics.
