Research On Volunteer Service Management In Urban Communities Of Zigong City

With the continuous development of the market economy and the acceleration of urbanization,People’s way of life,social relations and social governance have been changed.Traditionally,the first thing people do when they have a problem was to ask for help from family and friends,but to be inclined to rely on the organization where they worked to get help for the problems in their life when they were in the period of planned economy.But it has been gradually eliminated in the trend of history.With the continuous improvement of community functions,diversified community public services have gradually become the "first choice" of urban residents.Now People has become used to the idea that close neighbors are better than distant relatives.Pressure on the government is mounting as a "supplier" of public services.Volunteering in urban communities makes up for this lack of government,and it has become an important way for people to solve various problems in their lives.The 18 th CPC national congress and the third plenary session of the 18 th CPC central committee made it clear that voluntary service should be extensively carried out on a regular basis.The government is so crucial as a manager and facilitator of volunteering.There are three advantages of Strengthening and improving the management of urban community voluntary service.Firstly,it can promote the development of urban community voluntary service effectively.Secondly,it can make up for the shortage of public services provided by the government.Thirdly,it can improve the happiness of the people in the community.The development of urban community volunteer service could help improve the level of urban community construction and social management.Many projects carried out by urban community volunteer service,such as poverty alleviation,helping the elderly and the disabled,and environmental protection,have solved many practical problems by themselves.At the same time,it could spread the spirit of volunteerism to the residents through the physical actions of volunteers.And it also could set an example of mutual care among the residents was conducive to the popularization of public spirit among the residents and the construction of spiritual civilization in the city.Zigong is a prefecture-level city in Sichuan province.It was once the "capital of salt",and rich of course.But the economy was relatively backward due to geographical location and other factors after the reform and opening up.Zigong has always attached great importance to the construction of spiritual civilization.Zigong began to create a spiritual civilization city in Sichuan province in 2011,and began to create a national civilization city in 2017.Then Zigong had strengthened the development of urban community voluntary services.Through several years of development,it has achieved certain results,but many questions remain.I would visit some communities in Zigong,and do some research by means of questionnaire survey to figure out what problems exist in the voluntary service in Zigong at present.What are the specific reasons and how to improve the urban community voluntary service in ZiGong.This paper was divided into six chapters.The first chapter was the introduction.I expounded the research background and significance of this topic in this chapter.Then summarize and review the research status at home and abroad,and introduce the methods of research and ideas used in this research.The second chapter was the theoretical analysis of the research topic.I defined the concept of urban community volunteer service management and volunteerism.And discussed the theory of voluntary service and the theory of voluntary failure.The third chapter introduced the current management status of urban community volunteer service in Zigong.And I summarized the achievements of urban community volunteer service in Zigong.The investigation on the development of urban community volunteer service in Zigong was mainly conducted by consulting materials,field visits,questionnaires and interviews.The fourth chapter analyzed the problems and causes of voluntary service in Zigong.The fifth chapter was based on the concrete reality of Zigong urban community volunteer service,I put forward suggestions for its improvement.Chapter six was the conclusion.
