| With the aging of China’s population,in order to make the elderly old have to support,our government has been trying to improve the old-age insurance policy for the elderly: rural social old-age insurance-new rural social old-age insurance-urban residents social old-age insurance-urban and rural residents’ old-age insurance.China’s old-age pension system has been greatly improved.However,with the acceleration of China’s aging population,the elderly in the labor market is increasingly influential,then the increasingly popular urban and rural residents’ old-age insurance on the elderly labor supply? What kind of impact does this paper have on the labor supply situation of urban and rural elderly people? Based on the theory of individual labor supply decision-making and life cycle theory and other relevant economic theories,combined with the Logit model and Tobit model,the 2015 China Health and Pension Tracking Survey(CHARLS)National research data and 2017 follow-up visit data empirically analyze the impact of urban and rural residents’ old-age insurance on the labor supply of the elderly.Results: The level of old-age insurance security for urban and rural residents has a significant negative effect on the labor participation of the elderly and the time of labor supply,but the impact value is low,which may be related to the generally low level of protection at this stage.Among them,the labor participation of the rural elderly and the time of labor supply are more affected by the level of old-age insurance protection of urban and rural residents than the urban elderly.In addition,the old-age insurance for urban and rural residents to the elderly labor supply situation is also different due to the characteristics of different groups,urban and rural residents’ old-age insurance for the elderly in different regions of the labor supply situation is also different.Therefore,the policy proposals are put forward: improve the old-age insurance system for urban and rural residents,improve the level of protection of urban and rural residents’ old-age insurance,gradually implement the reform of the household registration system,narrow the differences between urban and rural residents,coordinate regional economic development,balance regional resource differences,strengthen the follow-up system education of the elderly,and enhance the education of the elderly;Improve the medical infrastructure service system and improve the health of the elderly. |
