Research On Traffic Congestion Management In Shanghai

Urban traffic congestion has always been accompanied by the overall development of the society.With the rapid growth of urbanization process and economic level,the problem of urban traffic congestion has not been solved,but the overall situation is becoming more and more serious.Looking at China from the world and Shanghai from China,as a model of global financial center and mega city,the public's demand for urban road traffic is far from the psychological expectation.Many problems caused by road traffic congestion in daily life seriously affect the quality of life and work of citizens and their happiness index.At the same time,it also challenges the further development of politics,culture,economy and ecology of the whole city.The study found that traffic congestion is not the same in every city.As far as Shanghai is concerned,traffic congestion is mainly reflected in the sharp increase of population density and vehicle ownership,the serious shortage of road supply,the unbalanced development of public transport and the intelligent application of big data technology.In terms of people's livelihood,traffic congestion brings residents an increase in the cost of living time and a decrease in the equivalent efficiency of work and life.People expect that transportation system can provide better services,and road construction can further improve the quality of living environment and reduce pollution.In smart cities,the emergence of big data,cloud platforms and other products of the new era of the internet can be fully applied to traffic congestion control.Therefore,this paper carries out a series of analysis and research based on the above-mentioned basic problems,refers to the more mature foreign traffic management concepts and methods,and combines with the relevant public goods theory course content,from Shanghai traffic congestion problems and their related characteristics analysis,urban traffic congestion management in local(Shanghai)politics.The functions of the government,the experience of traffic congestion control of local governments in big cities abroad and the significance of large data collection,analysis and application are analyzed and studied in order to find a suitable method for traffic congestion control in Shanghai.
