The mathematics education in Singapore has attracted the attention of other countries with its unique and outstanding mathematics curriculum system.Both China and Singapore belong to the Asian region and have similar development history and cultural background.They can learn from each other in mathematics education."Integer four mixed operations" is the key knowledge in the field of "math and algebra" in primary school mathematics,and is the basis for students to further learn comprehensive subject knowledge and develop mathematical thinking.In view of this,the research selects the content of "Integer Four Mixed Operations" as the research object,provides reference and enlightenment for the use of teaching materials by teachers and the preparation of primary mathematics textbooks in China.By collecting,collating,and analyzing relevant literature data,the research mainly uses content analysis methods,literature analysis methods,and comparative research methods.The examples are based on Chinese PEP and Marshall Cavendish primary school mathematics textbooks in China.Examples are content distribution and calculation rules.The dimensions,illustrations,and columns of the methods,examples,and exercises are compared to the contents of the "Integer Four Mixed Operations" The analysis finds that:Both editions of primary school mathematics textbooks can follow the law of students'cognitive development and attach importance to the connection with real life.The contents of primary school mathematics textbooks compiled by human education edition are basic and conservative.In the process of solving problems,primary school mathematics textbooks of human education edition pay more attention to inspiration and guidance,while those of MC edition pay more attention to students' independent exploration.The content distribution of primary school mathematics textbooks in human education edition focuses on the connection between old and new knowledge,while the content distribution of primary school mathematics textbooks in MC edition is more independent.The illustrations in the human education edition are rich and colorful,while those in MC edition are simple and plain.The enlightenment to the compilation of primary school mathematics textbooks in China is further put forward.Simplify the exercises and columns,and add more modules to train students'thinking and ability.Eliminate redundant guiding formulas and definitions and reinforce key concepts.Simplify the problem solving process and give students the space to explore and think independently.Simplify illustrations and match colors properly.
