Research On The Status Quo Of Primary School Mathematics Homework Based On The Core Literacy Of Mathematics

The discussion about core competency can be regarded as the understanding of specific and concrete teaching goals.With the deepening research of core competency,people have realized that the development of students' core competency should be connected with corresponding subjects.For example,mathematics highlights the integration of knowledge,attitude and ability.As one of major parts in teaching process,homework has had an important effect on the cultivation of students' core competency.Therefore,the author did a research on the homework condition in four primary schools in Mudanjiang City in four aspects: attitude,purpose,type,evaluation and feedback of homework,and interviewed with 45 teachers in detail.The context of the interviews included teachers' understanding of teaching core competency,homework and its evaluation and feedback,which reflected the real condition of core competency in mathematics' homework.By doing research,we find that there are some fruitfulness in carrying out the core competency in mathematics' homework such as proper attitude of students',diversity of learning method and homework evaluation,the increasing ability to learn mathematics.However,some problems are also existed such as teacher's incomprehension of core competency in mathematics,students' wrong views on homework,single type of homework,lack of hierarchical homework,imperfect homework evaluation,and lower usefulness in homework.According to the problems existed,the author provides the following suggestions: First,to improve teachers' professional competency.Second,to improve homework design.Third,to improve homework evaluation.All suggestions proposed are by the existing problems and from the perspective of students to make some contributions in core competency in mathematics in homework in the primary and middle schools in Mudanjiang City.
