With the further advancement of basic education reform,school culture construction has gradually focued on an important content and entry point for school reform and construction of school characteristics.Among the many factors that affect the school's cultural construction,the excellent traditional Chinese culture,especially the Confucian traditional outstanding culture,has become the most widely-recognized cultural form.Confucian excellent traditional culture influences the construction of school culture in an overall,not partial,manner.Its diffuse influences all aspects of school culture construction;Its national difference affects the path of school culture construction;Its conservative influence on the results of school culture construction.The outstanding traditional culture of Confucianism contains the spiritual factors of integration of man and nature,people-centeredness,and nobleness and self-improvement.The outstanding traditional culture of Confucianism contains the spiritual factors of integration of man and nature,people-centeredness,respecting harmony and balance,and energetic and self-improvement.It contains the values of truth,goodness and beauty.It can be creatively transformed and innovatively developed and becomes an important cultural resource and spirit wealth that can be used for reference to school reform,especially school culture construction.This study intends to investigate and study the practice and exploration of the construction of school culture with Confucian excellent traditional culture in the case of Confucius High School in Qufu,Shandong Province.Confucius High School takes the “benevolence culture” in the excellent traditional culture of Confucianism as the foundation and core of the school's cultural construction.It is based on benevolence,love,and the benevolent loves others.Confucius Middle School regards “cultural education of poetry and rite” as a feature of the school's education and aims to cultivate a modest gentleman who “wisdom in hold,elegance in mold”.Confucius High School puts“He Ya Culture” as the school's vision and proposes a poetic campus to establish a harmonious and enterprising atmosphere.In the process of cultural construction,the school has carried out a large number of effective practical explorations of the modern values of “Benevolence Culture”,“Poetry Culture” and “Harmony Culture” and integrated it into the whole process of school education.In the process of school cultural construction,Confucius Middle School practices Confucian fine traditional culture from four aspects: school material culture,school system culture,school spirit culture,and school behavior culture.The school displays the outstanding traditional culture of Confucianism through a variety of material cultures such as school-characteristic style buildings,school cultural facilities,and explicit construction inside and outside the class.The school demonstrates the outstanding traditional culture of Confucianism through the concept of school administration,school spirit,school motto,teaching style and style of study.The school has promoted Confucian traditional culture at the institutional level through its moral education system,teaching reform system and teacher team construction system.The school implements the “Beloved culture” through educational exchanges between teachers,teachers and students,and between students and students.Its school culture is based on the excellent traditional culture of Confucianism,carries forward the character of “humanistic culture”,promotes the connotative development of the school,and lays a solid foundation for the realization of the goal of “Confucius' Hometown Characteristic High School”.
