The cultivation of esthetic sentiment plays a critical role in developing Chinese students' key competencies and fostering their humanistic connotations for a bid to strengthen their cultural foundation.And in this field,the Teaching of Modern and Temporary Prose in middle school enjoy exceptional advantages.As one of the four styles,the prose is written in plain language which is rich in philosophy and emotion of the author,always pleasing readers with the actual beauty or special artistic beauty.Based on conclusions above,this article conducted a research,in the form of case study,on the cultivation of esthetic sentiment in the Teaching of Modern and Temporary Prose in the 51 st Middle School in An Shan city,Liao Nin Province in which the author teaches,with the aim of recognizing the inadequacies in teaching and throwing out a suggestion.This research is also anticipated to set a good example for teachers who intend to enhance their students ' esthetic sentiment in teaching modern and temporary prose.This article is divided into four chapters,including the introduction and conclusion.The first chapter Definition of relevant concepts and theoretical basis for analysis.This article attempts to tease out concepts concerned including aesthetic,aesthetic education,aesthetic sentiment,and summarize the theoretical basis.The second chapter ConnotationsThis article attempts to find out the connotations of aesthetic sentiment in the Teaching of Modern and Temporary Prose,including,interests and learning awareness in prose language and emotion;sound aesthetic emotion and value orientation;basic knowledge skills about prose understanding;diversified aesthetic creativity of prose text and structure;self-efficiency of prose learning and sentiment cultivation.The third chapter Inadequacies and causesThe inadequacies and causes for it can be elaborated in 7 aspects as follows:Students can't get enough access to aesthetic development resulted by teachers' insufficient aesthetic culture;Because of some ineffective teaching methods chosen by teachers for modern proses,learners turn to encounter difficulty in absorption in such aesthetic feelings;Students may find themselves confused in aesthetic awareness and interests;Students are found to be particularly prone to utilitarianism to develop such development;Students who have had far too less aesthetic exposure are held back from methodical access to aesthetic cultivation;Enough consciouoisness of pluralistic aesthetology hasn't been developed among learners,exp for proses;There has been quite urgent need to improve self-efficacy for students to exercise their excellent aesthetic taste.Chapter Four StrategiesThe aesthetic development strategies on modern proses can be summarized:Building a much more solid culture of aesthetics in more diversified ways;Following a more self-learning routine to allow studentes to further such development;Activating the aesthetic knowledge system of learners' through introduction of pluralism;Embracing the aesthetic outlook on a developmental vision for goals;Creating such knowledge system by intensive reading;Welcoming discoveries and researches based on aesthetic development;Ameliorating self-efficacy for students to exercise their excellent aesthetic taste.
