A Comparative Study On The Arrangement Of Complete Sets Of Balance Beams For Chinese And Foreign Elite Athletes In The New Olympics Cycle

By using the method of documentary,video,statistical,comparative and logic analysis,this paper mainly focus on compositions of excellent Chinese and foreign balance beam athletes in new Olympiad.Based on 2017 FIG Women's Gymnastic Regulations,this paper makes a research on difficulty,connection and composition of exercise comparative analysis.Study indicates that: First,Changes in top difficulty and the deletion of the fifth composition regulation provides the athletes more difficulty options.Dismount connection(B+F),mixed connection(B+D)and B+B+C dance series and mixed series in random order are added in order to lead the discipline to the direction of comprehension and beauty.Second,In the aspect of difficulty: General DV of Chinese and foreign athletes are basically on the same level.Foreign athletes favor upwards leap in group D,up to group F,while Chinese athletes prefer technical movements than leaps.Both Chinese and foreign athletes mostly use acros on the beam.The difficulty of connections in China is much higher than foreigners'.Foreign athletes frequently use salto.f and salto.side movements in group E or F;In the aspect of dance movements,domestic athletes prefer ring leap connections,while jump turns are less practiced.Foreign athletes developed jump turns and turn connections(D+A);Chinese athletes also prefer mount and dismount movements in group D.Third,In the aspect of connection: the overall connection score of domestic athletes is higher than that of foreign athletes while technical and dance connection scores are about the same,mostly in two or three connection.Varied connection types are applied by foreign athletes,while domestic athletes use only leap 2 connection(C+C/C+D).Domestic athletes have superior mixed connection and newly added 2 combo(B+D)which extended to mixed 3combo and 4combo.Forth,In the aspect of composition: difficulties are about the same and there are more acros than dance;foreign athletes have diversified on-beam acros and dance compositions while domestic athletes have superior mixed connections and single difficulty;In the 8 top difficulties,domestic and foreign athletes have similar DV.Generally speaking,domestic athletes have mach superiority to foreign athletes in leap ring movement,acro connection(B+E or B+B+E),leap connection(C+D)and mixed connection(B+D).Yet,a lack of diversity in the types of high difficulty movements in the composition,absence of leap connection series,low level group of leap mounts and low difficulty of turn movements still exist in the performances of domestic athletes.Hence,following suggestions are made to the development of domestic balance beam discipline.First,cultivate turn movements difficulty and enrich diversity of leaps;Second,develop mount leap difficulty and make break through in single high difficulty acro movements;Third,add connection movements to maximize value.
