As one of the most vital motifs in traditional literatures,'Return of native' not only has a rich history,but also accumulates experience and a great deal of works.Following the footsteps of cultural and historical changes,'Return of native' gathers emotional tastes of each nations.In response to this,related researches are of great values.It takes up an essential place in Chinese textbooks to give 'Return of native' motif works.Yet,few people show interests in related analysis and explorations in details.Hence,it is valuable and suitable to do some research works on this topic.Most available studies about 'Return of native' are based on archetypal criticism,which was fully developed in western countries in the nineteen fifties and sixties.Northrop Frye,a Canadian theorist towards archetypal criticism,enchased this into literature and gave a definition.This theory influenced a lot on study towards literature works.There is a close link between Chinese works and characteristic archetype.Thus,a detailed system of Chinese works is established following this and some available and innovative teaching guidance are put forward.In this thesis,two parts,theory and teaching,are portrayed separately under the guidance of relevant hypothesis.Firstly,Chinese works of 'Return of native' are systematically classified in theory.Secondly,the progress of teaching are divided into two parts,interpretation and practice.The whole contents are as follows.The first part is introduction.In this part,goal and significance of the whole thesis are expressed.Besides,the research status is also put in order.In addition,methods of the whole research are explained.The second part is chapter one.Some main theory evidences are stated,including nations of Chinese works of 'Return of native' motif.The archetypal criticism and curriculum ideas are regarded as theory evidence,which accords with the idea of quality education and cultivating core accomplishment.The third part is chapter two.This section shows some analytical charts and results of Chinese works of 'Return of native' motif.Then,a code called Camellia(Code for Image Analysis in Literary Works)is developed to give a rank to each literary image.The forth part is chapter three.In this part,reading analysis of Chinese works of'Return of native' motif is manufactured.According to contents of the system,this thesis analyzed principles and methodology and took Native Place' written by Lu Xun as an example.The fifth part is chapter four.Some ideas towards teaching following the archetypal criticism are displayed.Based on the results produced,the author established a related ways and arrangements.Additionally,a paper called 'Oath of Land' was portrayed,which is a tempt.The sixth part is chapter five.Final summary and evaluation are displayed.
