The Core Competencies is a hot issue in the current educational research in China.It is one of the new requirements for talents in the new period,and it is also the latest standard of what person to train in education.High School Chinese Subject Core Competencies is the combination of Chinese subject and The Core Competencies in High School,and it is also an important reference for the new edition of Chinese Curriculum Standard in High School.The newly published Standard of Chinese Curriculum in High School defines the Chinese Subject Core Competencies as four aspects: language construction and application,thinking development and promotion,aesthetic appreciation and creation,cultural inheritance and understanding.How to cultivate these qualities in our Chinese classroom teaching is an urgent problem.This dissertation selects the "thinking development and promotion",one aspect of Chinese Subject Core Competencies,and combines the author’s educational practice experience and the existing literature.Focusing on the novel teaching in high school,the dissertation tries to discuss how to cultivate the quality of "thinking development and promotion" in the novel teaching in high school,and contributes to the cultivation of High School Chinese Subject Core Competencies.The main research methods adopted in this paper are literature research method,questionnaire method,observation method and so on.Through the analysis of literature,based on the existing theory,the dissertation put forward the arguments.There are four main parts in the dissertation.The first part is a briefly introduction of Chinese Subject Core Competencies.It introduces the combination of "thinking development and promotion" and high school novel teaching,and defines the core concepts: the core competencies,Chinese Subject Core Competencies and the quality of "thinking development and promotion".The second part is the theoretical basis of the cultivation of "thinking development and promotion" in the Chinese novel teaching in high schools,including the theory of constructivism and the intelligence theory of Lin Chongde’s focusing on the structure of thinking.According to the new Chinese curriculum standard of high schools,"thinking development and promotion" is defined as “the development and promotion of thinking method” and “the development and promotion of thinking quality”.The third part,according to the present condition of the high school class teaching,found four problems in the cultivation of “thinking development and promotion" in high school novel teaching,including: 1.The problems in questioning:teachers do not have a clear understanding of teaching goals,and teachers fail to grasp the questioning gradient and difficulty;2.The problems in the thinking methods teaching;3.The problems in the thinking quality training;4.Deficiencies in teaching assessment.The fourth part,according to the above problems,proposed these solutions: 1.To clarify the teaching goal and make a plan for the thinking training;2.To set up theteaching situation and cultivate thinking methods;3.To provide reasonable training and improve the thinking quality;4.To focus on the assessment language and pay attention to students’ differences.In a word,the dissertation hopes to help the Chinese teachers have a better understanding of High School Chinese Subject Core Competencies and the goal of Chinese teaching.Therefore,the students can get a better training on "thinking development and promotion" in high school novel teaching.
