The Chinese textbooks published by Jiangsu Education Publishing House("JEPH")for Junior High Schools include many child-image texts,in which the child images are rich and diverse in type,profound and in-depth in theme,and flexible in shaping skill.Additionally,all these contents involved in the child images are valuable materials for Chinese teachers' Chinese reading teaching,as well as the significant references for Junior High School students' reading knowledge learning,reading ability cultivation and Chinese accomplishment improvement.However,in the process of existing Chinese teaching,the child images in Chinese textbooks published by JEPH for Junior High Schools fail to play their corresponding roles for reasons such as the utilitarianism of teachers' teaching and the defamiliarization of students' learning,which resulted that the teaching value failed to be excavated.In this paper,the author summarizes the "stylized","superficial","one-sided" and"test-oriented" problems,teases the lack of students' aesthetic perception,independent dialogue as well as students' innovation in classroom teaching,and analyzes the distant contact of students with the texts,their conceptualized comprehension of the child images,their experience of the indifference of the theme as well as their handling situation of the utilitarianism of reading psychology.Targeting at the existing problems in teaching,according to the requirements of the knowledge and competence of junior high school students in The Curriculum Standard of Chinese in Middle School,the child images in the Chinese textbooks published by JEPH for Junior High Schools are analyzed and sorted from three aspects of type generalization,language appreciation and profound meaning so as to strive for establishing a methodical knowledge system.On the basis of teaching attempts,it is proposed personal ideas about teaching strategy and homework design,and explored more efficient and appropriate teaching methods through practice,with the hope to provide some help for students in Chinese reading teaching.
