At present,China's economic development presents a new trend of development.Supply constraints,supply curtailment and the aging of the supply structure have become major contradictions in development.In order to adapt to and lead the new normal of economic development,China has begun to implement supply-side reforms.By improving the supply quality,optimizing the supply structure,making up the short board and going to the stock,we can strengthen the adaptability and flexibility of the supply side to the demand change,and restore the economic growth power of our country.With the continuous development of the supply side reform,practitioners and researchers in various fields have begun to pay attention to the important value of the supply side reform.The supply side reform of continuing education in colleges and universities has also become an important issue in the current reform and development of continuing education.Continuing education is an important part of China's lifelong learning system.The party's report on the Nineteenth Congress proposed that “continuing education should be established,a learning society must be accelerated,and the quality of the people should be greatly enhanced.” Entering a new era,economic and social development has put forward higher requirements for continuing education in ordinary colleges and universities.The learning needs of learners are also more individualized and diversified.However,continuing education in ordinary universities in China cannot meet the needs of society and learners.In the past reform and development,the continuing education of colleges and universities in our country pays more attention to the changes in the needs of the learners and social society,and neglects the supply side of teaching,teachers and courses.The decline in quality,the imbalance of the structure and the lack of innovation in the institutional mechanism are restricting the development of continuing education in colleges and universities.In order to stimulate the vitality of continuing education in colleges and universities and achieve its high quality development,the continuing education of colleges and universities should start from the supply side,improve the supply quality and efficiency,optimize the supply structure,innovate the system mechanism,and then alleviate the contradiction of supply and demand,and realize the relative balance of supply and demand.On the basis of discussing the connotation and significance of the supply side reform of continuing education in Colleges and universities,this paper analyzes the problems existing in the supply side of the continuing education in ordinary colleges and universities,and puts forward some specific suggestions for the reform in order to promote the development of the theory and practice ofthe continuing education in colleges and universities.Firstly,the reasons for the topic and the purpose of the research are explained,the relevant research results are combed,the research ideas and methods are clarified,the significance of the research and the significance of the supply side reform are analyzed,and the relevant concepts of the supply side reform of the continuing education in the colleges and universities are defined.Secondly,it analyzes the necessity of supply-side reforms for continuing education in ordinary universities in China,and believes that supply-side reform can resolve the contradiction between supply and demand of continuing education in ordinary universities,overcome the developmental disadvantages of continuing education in ordinary universities,and stimulate the development of continuing education in ordinary universities.The only way to the continuing education reform of the common colleges and universities nowadays.Thirdly,we reflect on the problems existing in the supply side of continuing education in our country's colleges and universities.We believe that the problems existing in the supply side of continuing education in ordinary universities and colleges are as follows: First,the quality of supply needs to be improved: poor teaching results,lagging curriculum construction,and lack of qualified teachers.Second,the supply structure needs to be optimized: the regional structure is not coordinated,the type structure is not reasonable,the hierarchical structure is unbalanced,and the professional structure still needs adjustment.Third,the institutional mechanism needs innovation:learning achievement certification conversion system not yet mature,the management system still needs to be optimized,and the evaluation mechanism is still not perfect.Finally,the author puts forward the suggestions for the supply-side reform of continuing education in ordinary universities in China,and believes that the continuing education of ordinary universities should improve the quality of supply,realize the leap from quantity to quality,optimize the supply structure,and enhance the supply efficiency;and innovate the institutional mechanisms to stimulate supply.
