What Kind Of Library Area Do Young Children Like

This study,which is based on children's perspectives,investigates "Children's Favorite Book Area".The researcher selected children from one kindergarten in Nanjing,among who were 30 from the middle class as well as 29 from the senior class.The investigator first collected paintings under the topic "Your Ideal Book Area",and then interviewed the children related with the drawings.From data analysis,the investigator summarizes the common characteristics of children's favorite book areas from aspects such as features and functions of the book area,book types that the children prefer,and rules and regulations of the area.At the same time,the investigator analyzes the characteristics of children's favorite book area from five respects.They are:important figures in the main book area,activities in the book area,book types that the children like,items in the area,and lastly activity hours of the book area.Based of these,the investigator elaborates on the barriers in the practical use of the book area in accordance with the interviews.Based on these questions and the expectations of the children,the conclusion presents suggestions for creating"Children's Favorite Book Area".
