Research On Career Choice And Its Influencing Factors Of Social Work Master Students

With the recovery of education in professional social work and the acceleration of the professionalization of social work,social work has entered a new period of rapid development.The continuous expansion of education has provided a large number of professional social workers with advanced degrees.But at the same time,to end up in low proportion of professional social work master of social work,social work talent turnover rate is high,students of master of social work has a low willingness to work in the social work area.This study selected two universities in Shandong province and carry out the education of master of social work as the research object,in the school reading master degree of social work as sample,adopt the method of questionnaire survey on two university master of social work students career choice intention and investigate the influencing factors,and through SPSS19.0 software for further analysis.Then,a case interview was taken to interview students who were interested in the interview to obtain qualitative research data.Study have shown that under the joint action of social perception,salary,job number,social mobility,and career advancement space and accept the quality of the education of social work and other external factors and endogenous factors such as self career,esteemed personal professional ability,the master of social work students of universities in Shandong province has a low willingness to work in the social work area.Most students tend to seek employment chance in other fields and jobs.On the basis of the above research results,The following measures can be taken to improve the willingness of professional career choice in social work: first,improve the social worker's social status,enhance social identity;Second,strengthen the value cultivation of social workers and cultivate professional identity;Third,improve the incentive mechanism of social workers and improve the treatment of workers;Fourthly,strengthen the cultivation of social work institutions and increase social workers' employment;Fifth,reform social work master training system,strengthen professional skills education.
