The relationship between self-esteem and aggressiveness is the focus and hot topic of psychological research.At present,with the continuous rise of bullying on campus,psychologists have analyzed that the reason may be the aggressive behavior caused by the instability of self-esteem.Therefore,the problem of adolescent self-esteem and aggression has aroused greater concern in society.Based on previous studies,this paper takes the middle and upper grade students of Guojiajie Primary School as the research object,and discusses the characteristics of their self-esteem and the characteristics of aggressive behavior and the relationship between them.Self-control variables were introduced in the study to explore the relationship between self-esteem and aggressive behavior.This study mainly uses the questionnaire method.the questionnaire-investigation is taken to collect the sample data in this study.The results of the study are statistically analyzed by using spss18.0 and some statistical methods to investigate the sample data one by one.Statistical methods include: descriptive statistical analysis,analysis of variance,correlation analysis,and regression analysis.The research results of this study are as follows:(1)The level of self-esteem of Grade3 to Grade6 pupils in primary school is above average.There are significant differences in self-esteem in terms of gender,grade,and academic performance;there is no significant difference in self-esteem in terms of whether or not they are only children.(2)The level of aggression of Grade3 to Grade6 pupils in primary school is on average.Aggressive behavior is significantly different between gender and grade;there is no significant difference in academic performance and whether there is an only child;there is a significant difference in hostility in terms of whether or not there is an only child;physical aggressions,verbal attack,and hostility are all gender-specific.Significant difference;Aggression is dominated by indirect aggressions,and the main form of expression is hostile aggressions.(3)The level of self-control of Grade3 to Grade6 pupils in primary school is above average.There are significant differences in self-control ability in terms of gender,academic performance,and whether it is an only child.(4)Both self-esteem and self-control have significant predictive effects on aggressive behavior.Self-control plays a partial intermediary role between self-esteem and aggressive behavior.
