Objective: with the acceleration of population aging in China, falls occur frequently and the health problems of middle-aged and elderly women become more and more serious. At present, the research on core stability training mainly focuses on competitive sports and athlete rehabilitation training, while the respiratory pattern training is mainly applied to the research on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)in clinical medicine. To this end, this study aims to observe the improvement of the core stability through the training of thoracic and abdominal breathing patterns(mixed breathing)as the intervention means, and then evaluate the training effect of thoracic and abdominal breathing patterns on the core stability of middle-aged and elderly women. Methods: subjects and grouping: this study selected 24 middle-aged and elderly women aged 50-65 years as subjects and randomly divided them into experimental group and control group, with 12 persons in each group. The experimental group received thoracic and abdominal breathing pattern training intervention for a period of 12 weeks, while the control group did not receive training intervention to maintain a normal state of life.Experimental intervention scheme: the scheme was divided into three stages: 1.The first stage(1-4 weeks): the right thoracic and abdominal breathing pattern was established with a small load as the main part, and the three types of posture including lying posture, kneeling posture and standing posture were carried out.2.The second stage(5-8 weeks): on the basis of the first stage, four groups of training with medium load are carried out,20 times for each group and one blow in 10 seconds.3.The third stage(9-12 weeks): 5 groups of training with heavy load,20 times for each group and one blow in 10 seconds.Training load: small load: 1.2g balloon;Medium load: 1.5g,1.8g balloon;Heavy load: 2.2g balloon.Experiment period: 12 weeks;Training frequency: 19:30-20:00 on Monday and Wednesday every week;Training time: 30 minutes.Training place: Chengdu sports center for the aged.Test indicators: before and after the experiment, the experimental group and the control group were tested with eight grades of abdominal bridge level 1,core muscle strength test,Biodex postural stability,Biodex risk of falling,one-leg standing with closed eyes, enhanced Romberg sign,Biodex stability limit,star-shift balance test,Lung capacity, heart rate, blood pressure and other indicators.Results:(1)the results of the eight-grade abdominal bridge first-level index test showed that there was a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group(P<0.01).There was no significant difference in the control group(P>0.05).(2)core muscle strength test results showed that there was a significant difference in core muscle strength test value/target value "forward flexor" muscle strength index between the experimental group and the control group(P<0.01),and no significant difference was found in dorsiflexion, left flexor, right flexor, left rotation and right rotation test results(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in the test results of each index in the control group(P>0.05).(3)The Biodex postural stability test results showed that there was significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference between the whole stability index and the left and right index(P>0.05).(4)Biodex fall risk test results showed that after the intervention, there was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group(P>0.05).(5)the results of standing test with eyes closed on one leg showed that there was a significant difference between the two groups(P<0.01),and no significant difference between the control group(P>0.05).(6)The test results of the enhanced Romberg sign showed that there was a very significant difference(P<0.01),no significant difference in the control group(P>0.05).(7)The result of Biodex stability limit test showed that there was a significant difference(P<0.01).The scores of the experimental group were significantly different(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in other indexes in the experimental group(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in each index in the control group(P>0.05).(8)Star-shift balance test results show that the support legs forward, his left foot outside, outside, outside before, after, after the comparison in the group has a very significant difference(P<0.01),the right foot support leg forward, outside, outside after the index comparison in the group has a very significant difference(P<0.01),support legs "inside" index and left foot outside support legs before and after, inside, inside index after comparison in the group with significant difference(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the control group(P>0.05).(9)lung capacity index test results showed that there was a very significant difference within the experimental group(P<0.01),no significant difference in the control group(P>0.05).(10)Attending heart rate and blood pressure test results showed that there was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group(P>0.05).Conclusion :(1)after 12 weeks of experimental intervention, level 8 abdominal bridge level 1 index, core strength test value/target value "forward flexor" muscle strength index and index index before and after posture stability in the experimental group were significantly improved, indicating that thoracic and abdominal breathing pattern training can improve the core stability of middle-aged and elderly women.(2)after 12 weeks of experimental intervention, the indicators of static balance ability in the experimental group, including "standing on one foot with closed eyes" and "enhanced Romberg sign",were significantly improved. The indicators of dynamic balance ability,"stability limit" and "star shift balance test",have been significantly improved, indicating that the training of thoracic and abdominal breathing patterns can significantly promote the dynamic and static balance ability of middle-aged and elderly women.(3)after 12 weeks of experimental intervention, lung capacity indicators of the experimental group were significantly improved, indicating that the thoracic and abdominal breathing pattern training significantly improved lung capacity of middle-aged and elderly women and significantly promoted lung function.(4)by improving muscle strength, the core stability is improved, the stability of the whole body movement chain is enhanced, and the dynamic and static balance ability is also enhanced. The changes of the three are consistent, indicating that the thoracic and abdominal breathing pattern training plays an important role in improving the core stability of middle-aged and elderly women and preventing falls.
