Research On The Image Of Teachers In Novels Since My Country's Reform And Opening Up

Teachers'image is a solid and general overall impression and evaluation of teachers'speech,behavior,appearance,personality,physical and mental quality,cultural accomplishment,professional skills,professional ethics and other aspects under a certain historical and cultural background.As the spokesman of education,teachers are responsible for teaching and educating people.Their image directly affects the physical and mental development of students.The historical changes of teachers'image not only reflect the development of teachers' profession,but also reflect the development of social politics,economy,culture,education and other fields in different historical periods,reflecting the social value orientation and ideology of each period.Novels are the product of the times.To some extent,they are influenced by the background of the times,and their contents are mostly based on real life.The image of teachers created in the novel is the epitome of the real image of teachers.The changes of the image of teachers in the novels of different periods can also reflect the changes of the times of the real image of teachers.In real life,the public can not talk directly with teachers because of the limitation of time and space.As an important literary genre,fiction has become an important link between the public and teachers.This study is based on three dimensions:time as the benchmark vertically,the selected novel should be created after the reform and opening up;content as the benchmark horizontally,the novel with the teacher as the subject,the protagonist or the main character as the benchmark horizontally;and the national literary award which has been evaluated by the work as the benchmark obliquely,select the relevant samples of fiction,and sort out the image of teachers in the 1980s;1990s and the 21st century.Through analysis and interpretation,we can see that the image of teachers in the 1980s mainly includes:teachers reflecting on historical mistakes in ideology,teachers devoting selflessly to teaching,teachers living in material poverty and teachers facing difficult choices in the period of social transformation;by the 1990s,many writers paid more attention to rural teachers and wrote a lot of forgotten ones in poor villages.Teachers who are obscure,selfless and dedicated,as well as writers,have seen the confusion and wandering of teachers in the upsurge of commercialization and created many humanized and complicated images of teachers.Since the 21st century,the images of teachers in fiction have tended to be diversified,individualized and secular,with teachers who are full of responsibility and guardian of students,and teachers who label and teach mechanically to students.There are also teachers who are spiritually lonely and whose morality is abnormal.Looking at the image of teachers in fiction since the reform and opening-up in China,the image of teachers in fiction of different periods has not only a certain degree of continuity and generality,but also a certain degree of epochal and unique.Poverty and tragedy are their two common characteristics,but they also have different inherent characteristics in different periods;moreover,in the change and development of the times,the evolution of the image of teachers in fiction has appeared alienation.Phenomena,such as value anomie,loss of teachers'morality,etc.Nothing can exist in isolation,and it is interrelated with other things.Therefore,the image of teachers in fiction is bound to be influenced and influenced by many factors unique to each era.Since the reform and opening up,our country has promulgated a series of important measures in politics,economy,culture and education.On this basis,it guides the change of the mainstream values of society,weaves together into a huge social hotbed,and promotes the birth of the image of teachers in the novel.Based on the perspective of teachers'professional groups,the realistic factors affecting the image-building of teachers in the novel are divided into external factors and internal factors.The external factors are the change of political and economic situation,the change of social and cultural values,the change of writers' personal demands and public aesthetic interests,and the internal factors are the deviation of teachers'responsibilities and roles and the dilemma of teachers' morality.Through sorting out and interpreting the image of teachers in novels since the reform and opening up,we can know that the image of teachers created by them is good or bad,which brings some inspiration and warning significance to the reconstruction of the image of teachers in reality.In order to rebuild the ideal image of teachers and correct the misunderstanding of the public about the image of teachers,this study gives suggestions from two aspects:external objective factors and internal subjective factors which affect the image of teachers.Externally,the government and schools,the public and parents are the two levels to guarantee the image of teachers.Internally,teachers'responsibility orientation and teachers'ethics construction are the tow main aspects of self-construction.
