The relationship between marriage and individual health has long attracted the attention of researchers of health sociology and family research. In recent years,Chinese governments and researchers have begun to emphasize and pay close attention to health issues. From the current health research in the field of domestic sociology, researchers pay more attention to health issues to health inequalities caused by unequal socioeconomic status, and less attention to health differences caused by other social factors or health inequality. However,if we turn our attention to the international arena, the reason for the continued prosperity of the health research field lies in the diversity of its issues. From the current foreign health research,in addition to the health inequality, the social relationship between marriage and family has the same impact on individual health.Has attracted the interest and attention of many researchers. In Chinese culture, the meaning of marriage and family for individuals need not be said, but unfortunately the impact of marriage on health has not attracted enough attention in China.Based on the above points, this paper attempts to explore Chinese people. The impact of marital relationships on health,on the one hand, provides an empirical material from China on the existing marriage and health relationship research, and on the other hand, supplements some issues of health inequality in China's health research. In order to explore the relationship between marriage and health, this paper based on the data of China Family Panel Studies(CFPS)from 2010 to 2014,respectively,based on cross-sectional data and panel data, the relationship between marital status and health was carried out analysis. The study found that there are significant differences in the health status of individuals in different marital status. This difference is reflected in multiple health indicators such as depression level, chronic disease,self-rated health and relative self-evaluation health;changes in marital status and marriage time of prolongation significantly affects the health of the individual;divorced individuals re-enter the marriage will also significantly improve their health. In addition, the paper also explores the heterogeneity of health differences between different marital states. The analysis shows that there are significant gender and regional heterogeneity in the health differences between different marital states.Specifically, men and urban residents live in health. The situation is relatively less affected by the state of marriage. Finally, based on the mediation effect analysis, this paper finds that the relationship between Chinese marriage and health is different from existing research conclusions. This paper also explains this tension.
