In recent years,the constitution of college students in China has been in a state of continuous decline,which is a problem that cannot be ignored by colleges and universities at present.Therefore,it is very important to promote the development of physical education curriculum.Variety of university physical education curriculum,including fitness qigong course content rich,movement,and repair of body and mind,can play a good effect of physical exercise,but students under the influence of network culture and foreign culture,on the elective course more choose the trend of sports such as taekwondo,street dance,easy to overlook health qigong,this course in the elective course of college sports and health,health qigong curriculum elective rate is obviously lower than other sports courses,students learning motivation significantly lower.Motivation is an internal motivation that causes individual behavior.Positive learning motivation can promote teaching effect accordingly.In the course of health qigong for college students,when students'learning motivation is not high,how to use relevant teaching methods to stimulate,improve and maintain students'learning motivation,and which aspects to start from can effectively stimulate students'learning motivation and improve teaching quality are the main problems that need to be discussed and studied at present.American professor John m.keller classifies the factors causing student motivation into four aspects:Attention,Relevance,Confidence and Satisfaction,which are collectively called ARCS motivation model[1].The emergence of this model has prompted the close attention of major experts and scholars in the field of education,and the continuous discussion,experiment and practice have achieved effective results,verifying the effectiveness of this motivation model[2].In China,the research scope of ARCS motivation model design is mainly reflected in the research of teaching theory,but the research on teaching experiment is relatively few,and the research on fitness qigong is few.This paper mainly USES the methods of literature review,questionnaire survey,teaching experiment and mathematical statistics to carry out an experimental research on the health qigong course teaching for 13 weeks for students from two classes of 2017in chengdu university of technology,taking the yi jin jing course in health qigong as an example.The research draws the following conclusions:1.According to the relevant theories and principles of ARCS motivation model,four teaching strategies of attention strategy,relevance strategy,self-confidence strategy and satisfaction strategy are proposed,and provide references and help for the teaching design of its fitness qigong and yi jin jing courses;2.According to the ARCS motivation model theory,taking the fitness qigong yi jin jing teaching content as an example,the relevant teaching design with the characteristics of ARCS teaching strategy was established,including teaching objectives,teaching contents and teaching procedures.The implementation of the teaching design achieved certain teaching effects.3.The fitness qigong teaching design with the characteristics of ARCS teaching strategy effectively improves students'attention,relevance,confidence and satisfaction to the fitness qigong course,and effectively improves students'learning motivation to the fitness qigong course.According to the experimental results,both ARCS motivation model teaching design and traditional and conventional teaching methods can promote and improve students'learning motivation to some extent.However,compared with the two methods,the teaching design with ARCS teaching strategy characteristics can more effectively stimulate,improve and maintain students'learning motivation and improve teaching effect.
