With the advent of the mobile Internet era,social media has developed further,and the communication between people has broken the limitation of time and space and become more convenient.At the same time,people have become increasingly dependent on social media,leading to the emergence of new terms such as "phubbers" and "mobile phone addicts".With the advent of social media,the development of interpersonal communication has become more diversified.Interpersonal relationship not only exists in real life,but also on social media.Goffman first put forward the theory of parody,holding that people's interpersonal communication in daily life is the self-presentation of different roles,and divided the scenes of interpersonal communication into "foreground" and "background".Since then,self-presentation has become a research hotspot among scholars.With the development of social media in the past years,more and more scholars have begun to study self-presentation on social media.This study,starting from Goffman's parody theory,studies whether the media attributes of different social platforms will affect people's self-presentation.According to the previous research results,four variables are proposed to measure media attributes,which are social attribute,information attribute,public attribute and friend relationship strength attribute.Based on the previous research results,positive self-presentation strategy and real self-presentation strategy are used as the measurement criteria for self-presentation.In this study,empirical analysis was used to edit and produce questionnaires through the questionnaire star platform.600 questionnaires were released through the social platform,and 506 valid questionnaires were recovered.Descriptive statistical analysis,correlation analysis and regression analysis were conducted on the recovered data through SPSS21.0 software,and the following conclusions were drawn:(1)There is a significant difference between self-presentation on Weibo and self-presentation on WeChat.College students tend to choose the real self-presentation strategy on Weibo,and the positive self-presentation strategy on WeChat.(2)The social attribute of social media positively influences people's real self-presentation on Weibo and WeChat.(3)The information attribute of Weibo will significantly negatively affect the positive self-presentation on Weibo,while the information attribute of WeChat will positivelyaffect people's true self-presentation on WeChat.(4)The open attribute of Weibo can positively influence people's true self-presentation on Weibo,and the open attribute of WeChat can positively influence people's true self-presentation on WeChat.(5)The friend relationship strength of Weibo and WeChat can positively influence people's positive self-presentation.
