Social Work Is Involved In The Study Of Spiritual Comfort For The Elderly In Elderly Care Institutions

The aging population is getting more and more serious,and the issue of old-age care has attracted people's attention.Since Home care and community pensions can't meet the needs of all the elderly.Institutional pension,an important part of the three major ways of providing for the elderly,now is being chosen by more and more elderly people.The elderly in the old-age care institutions have chosen institutional pensions because of the lack of family or the care of their families.Their living range is relatively limited,the degree of socialization is relatively low,and the spiritual needs are not met for a long time,which seriously affects such elderly people.The quality of life,therefore,the solution to the lack of spiritual comfort in the elderly in the old age is a problem worth studying.From the perspective of social work,this paper takes 40 elderly people in the center of J center as the research object,and learns from the results of the existing social work intervention for the elderly spiritual comfort,the questionnaire survey method and interview method were used to investigate the mental comfort of the elderly in the elderly center of J downtown.It was found that the elderly in the pension agency had the dilemma of aging diseases,the monotonous psychological emptiness of life and the weak social support network.The elderly have the spiritual comfort needs of safety,emotion,respect,self-realization and cultural entertainment.Then,with the guidance of Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory,social support theory and the theory of superiority,the author carried out group work and case work in the center of the J City Center for the elderly to intervene in the elderly.Through the evaluation of group work and case work,it is concluded that the professional social work involved in the elderly spirit of the pension agency has achieved the expected results,providing professional social work services for the elderly in the pension agency can improve the mental outlook of the elderly and improve the quality of spiritual life of the elderly.From the practice of this article,social work can provide effective spiritual comfort services for the elderly in the aged care institutions,not only help to improve the quality of spiritual life for the elderly in the aged care institutions,also can promote the optimization and innovation of the services of the aged institutions,moreover,the social work involved in the pension structure of the elderly and the spiritual comfort of the elderly also allowed social workers to gain self-identification and identification.
