Prose teaching is an important part of Chinese reading teaching in senior high school,and narrative prose is an indispensable branch of prose.For narrative prose,meticulous description of characters and brilliant narration of events are like "pearls" one by one,while the clues of the article are like the"lines" lining up those "pearls",and the" lines are scattered but not scattered" of the prose.The key is that there are such intertwined lines of obviousness and subtleness or combined lines of reality and imagination and only when the clues are dominating then the article will not be disorganized or incomprehensible.For narrative prose teaching,grasping the clue of the article is like grasping the essence of the author's thought.Only by clarifying the author's thinking,can we truly understand the prose.The article is aimed to discuss how to perform narrative prose teaching in High School Chinese in a better approach,it is also expected to research the effective strategy on the narrative prose teaching in High School Chinese and to provide constructive suggestions.This study reviews the existing literature on "prose teaching" and "prose clue teaching",and clarifies some problems exist in the narrative prose clue teaching in China now.By integrating the existing research results and combining with the narrative prose classroom teaching records during the internship,the author makes an analysis of the current situation and problems of narrative prose clue teaching from both theoretical and practical aspects.This paper is mainly divided into three parts:The first part is an overview of narrative prose in senior high school Chinese.It summarizes the basic characteristics of narrative prose in Senior High School Chinese,to clarify the important role of clue teaching in all aspects of narrative prose teaching in senior high school Chinese,arouses teachers'attention to clue teaching,to better carry out this genre of prose clue teaching activities through the analysis of narrative prose in "Reading Appreciation" part of the compulsory textbook "Language of the Standard Experimental Textbook for Senior High School" of the People's Education Edition.The second part demonstrates the teaching record of narrative prose in senior high school and the analysis of its problems.It is based on the classroom records analysis,reflecting that Chinese teachers in senior high schools in China at present neglect the teaching of narrative prose in the classroom,which students' understanding of the text insufficient.The records covered the three narrative proses in the third unit of the third unit of the "Reading Appreciation"section of the "Mandatory Chinese Course Textbook for General High School Curriculum Standards" of the People's Education Edition(Lu Xun's "Memory of Liu Hezhenjun",Ba Jin's "Puppy Baodi" and Liang Shiqiu's "A Speech by Liang Rengong").The third part is based on the number axis method to put forward the corresponding strategies for the teaching of narrative prose clues in senior high school Chinese.In order to avoid similar problems in the prose teaching in the future,the author gives the following teaching reference suggestions:1.Design specific goals for clue teaching.2.The number line method should be reasonably used in combination with the characteristics of the text.3.Value the practice and evaluation of the clue learning.
