Today,the development of Higher Vocational Education in China has been widely recognized by the society.With the further development and expansion of the scale of Higher Vocational colleges,higher vocational education has been transformed from the past stage of scale development to the stage of connotation development.In order to meet the needs of the new stage of talent development in Higher Vocational education,the introduction course of higher vocational education is also constantly exploring and reforming.However,some higher vocational colleges still adopt the traditional teaching method,ignoring the initiative of students,not fully combining with students’future jobs,affecting the quality of teaching.Based on the practice of the teaching reform of the introduction course in Linyi Vocational College,this paper analyses the application of project-based teaching in the introduction course in Higher Vocational colleges,with a view to establishing a new teaching method suitable for the introduction course.Firstly,this paper expatiates on the background,significance,current situation at home and abroad and research methods of the topic,which provides research basis for the thesis writing.The first part of the paper summarizes the related theories of the project-based teaching application of the introduction course,including the meaning of the project-based teaching,the meaning of the project-based teaching of the introduction course and the related theoretical basis.The second part of the paper is mainly about the feasibility analysis of project-based teaching applied to the introduction course,including the introduction of the introduction course,the analysis of the course characteristics and the application process.Then it elaborates how to design the course project scientifically and reasonably from the aspects of project design concept,design principles and project scenario design.Then it elaborates the application process of project-based teaching in the course of introduction combining with case implementation.The third part of the paper focuses on the application effect of project-based teaching,the advantages of project-based teaching compared with traditional teaching,and the main problems in the application of project-based teaching.Finally,the fourth part of the paper analyses the causes of the problems in project-based teaching and puts forward corresponding solutions.According to the content of the course and the students’learning practice,combining the students’ professional characteristics,Linyi’s local teaching resources,domestic and foreign political hotspots as well as various policies and Strategies of the country,this paper breaks the original curriculum teaching material system,designs the course teaching as a teaching project that needs to be completed by the students,and analyses the project of the course combining with the case implementation.The application process of chemical teaching,etc.By means of interviews and surveys,this paper proves that the project-based teaching of the introduction course in Higher Vocational colleges,compared with the traditional teaching method,fully exerts students’subjectivity,initiative and enthusiasm,greatly improves students’ interest in learning,improves students’various abilities,and improves the overall teaching effect of the introduction course in Higher Vocational colleges.Of course,no teaching reform can be accomplished overnight.There are also some problems in the application of project-based teaching in the introduction course.Reflecting on the problems and putting forward countermeasures to solve them are the next step to continue and the need to further improve the quality of teaching.
