Research On The Correlation Between Cognition And Support Of Large-scale Sports Events

Objective:Taking the 19th Games of Jiangsu Province as the object of study.Through to the yangzhou citizen to the provincial games cognition and the provincial games support degree investigation,to understand the general characteristics of yangzhou citizens' cognition and tournament support for the provincial games as well as the differences in demographic variables,and further explore the relationship between citizens' awareness of provincial games and event support.Methods:The main research methods in this study are questionnaire survey and mathematical statistics,at the same time,I compiled the questionnaire of yangzhou citizens' cognition and support for the provincial games,using a convenient sampling method,a questionnaire survey was conducted among yangzhou residents.Social statistical analysis software package SPSS20.0 was used for statistical analysis,Independent sample t test and One factor analysis of variance(anova)were conducted on the cognition and support of yangzhou citizens to the provincial games,Correlation analysis was used to analyze the relationship between cognition and tournament support,After controlling for relevant variables(demographic variables,provincial games cognition),hierarchical regression method was used to analyze the relationship between cognition and support degree in the provincial games.Results:1.Yangzhou citizens' cognition score of the provincial games is 65.16±8.740,and above the average;The support score for provincial games is 103.11±15.061,and above the average.2.1n terms of gender,there is no difference in citizens' cognition and support for the provincial games;in terms of age,there is a significant difference in citizens' cognition of the provincial games(p=0.000),there was no difference in support for the provincial games.In terms of occupation,the cognition of citizens towards the provincial games is significantly difference(p=0.000),there was also a significant difference in support for the provincial games(p=0.010).In terms of educational background,there is a significant difference in citizens' cognition of the provincial games(p=0.000),there was no difference in support for the provincial games.In terms of citizens' incomes,there is no difference in their cognition and support for the provincial games.3.There is a significant correlation between the cognition and support degree of yangzhou citizens to the provincial games,the correlation coefficient was 0.504(p<0.01).Specifically,after controlling for demographic variables,the cognition of the citizens to the provincial games can predict the support degree of the games(The contribution rate of cognition to support is 36.6%).Conclusions:1.Yangzhou Provincial Games awareness and support are in the upper and middle level.2.Yangzhou citizens with different ages,different occupations and different educational backgrounds influence their cognition of provincial sports events.Yangzhou citizens from different professions influence their support for provincial sports events.Differences in gender,age,educational background and income will not affect public support for the Provincial Games.3.There is a significant correlation between the cognition of Yangzhou Provincial Games and the degree of support of the events.At the same time,the higher the awareness of the provincial Games,the higher the support for the Provincial Games.
