Gareth B.Matthews is a famous American philosopher and one of the pioneers in the field of Children's Philosophy.He was the first to develop the field of Children's Philosophy systematically.The essence of his thoughts of Children's Philosophy is mainly concentrated in his Children's Philosophy trilogy,which provides a new perspective,new ideas and new methods for us to understand the new discipline of Children's Philosophy,the children and the development of Children's education.Matthews' s Children's Philosophy is a systematic and perfect theoretical system.Its core content is the birth of Matthews' Children's Philosophy,the specific connotation of Matthews' children's philosophy,and the practical path of Matthews and children's "doing philosophy".It helps us to answer thoughts of Matthews' s Children's Philosophy of "why","what" and "how to do".In Matthews' view,children are philosophical and philosophical.Philosophy come from the heart of children.The generation of Children's Philosophy is inseparable from the nature of children's philosophical thinking.Therefore,he produces the idea that children are born philosophers.The main purpose of Matthews' s study of Children's Philosophy is to reveal the philosophical power of children and to make adults aware that their concept of children affects the possibilities of child development.Matthews mainly criticizes the concept of child defects,namely traditional childhood theory,children's cognitive deficits and children's moral defects.He wants to let adults reflect on children's prejudice and help them better by criticizing children's defects.Meet children.According to Matthews,children have the ability to be philosophical,mainly in children's ability to think philosophically,children to be good at asking philosophical problems,and children's philosophy often manifested in conceptual games.In the practical path of children's philosophy,Matthews pointed out that the form of doing philosophy between adults and children is a philosophical dialogue based on Socratic dialogue,and the main medium of doing philosophy is the excellent children's literature or philosophical stories written by themselves.He used the self-created story to begin teaching and children to do philosophy,to show philosophical wisdom in philosophical inquiry and cultivate philosophical sentiments.Considering the comprehensive arrival of the era of artificial intelligence,China's quality education is still advancing constantly,and the development of children's education in China is facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges.In view of this,this thesis attempts to use Matthews' children's philosophy as the starting point,and tries to explore the basis and value of the children's philosophy,in order to provide valuable reference and experience for thedevelopment of children's philosophy and children's education in China.
