In the last few years,international understanding literacy has been one of the prerequisites for being a qualified citizen.All countries pay attention to the development of education for international understanding,so that students can respect and understand the history,culture,religious beliefs of other countries,and handle international affairs worldwide.The effective element of education for international understanding is teachers.Therefore,it is necessary to improve teachers' international understanding literacy.Australia is a typical immigrant country.Education for international understanding started early,developed rapidly,and it also pays attention to the cultivation of teachers' international understanding literacy.It has gathered rich experience in this aspect.By analyzing the current situation of Australian teachers'understanding of literacy,and summarizing the characteristics of their cultivation,the result could have great significance for the cultivation of teachers' international understanding literacy in China.This study mainly uses literature analysis,comparative research and case study methods to study the cultivation of Australian teachers' international understanding literacy systematically.The paper first discusses the background of cultivating teachers' international understanding literacy in Australia,and then the requirements of teachers' international understanding literacy in Australian teacher professional standards and important state teacher guidance or standards are analyzed.In accordance with professional knowledge,professional practice and abilities,Attitudes and values,this paper summarize the elements of teachers' international understanding of literacy.Then,the training methods and contents of Australian teachers'international understanding literacy were expound from the aspects of pre-service education and in-service training.On the one hand,it mainly analyzes the top schools in Australia.On the other hand,it explores the learning programs of nation and state.Finally,it summarizes the characteristics of Australian teachers' international understanding of literacy training,analyzes the general situation of teachers'international understanding of literacy training in China,and it summarizes the enlightenment to China.
