In the rural areas of Guizhou province, the teacher is not a single career only to teach, the special geography, economy, culture, environment and other various factors give a new definition of ‘functional’ teachers. In addition to the normal teaching work, the rural teachers in Guizhou province also need to bear the large amount of invisible non-teaching work. And the excess of non-teaching workload will further increase the teachers’ workload.Through the form of questionnaire, this article investigates many rural primary schools in Guiyang city,Liupanshui city,Zunyi city,Bijie city of Guizhou province. It mainly investigates the rural primary school teachers’ workload and the status quo of the non-teaching work.Based on the documents of national or provincial education department,it is shown that the average working hours of rural primary school teachers exceed the relevant national standards, and there are most of the elementary school teachers of rural areas in Guizhou province spending time on the non-teaching work accounts for more than a third of all work time and even.In addition they also need to continue non-teaching work on the weekend, and these extra non-teaching workload are free and volunteer, and bring them a lot of pressure and burden. On the basis of the questionnaire survey, through interviews and observation, this paper further analyzes the negative impact of non-teaching work of rural primary school teachers in Guizhou province by using the inverted "U" theory,Yerkes-Dodson’s law,and it mainly analyzes the negative impact from three aspects—the teachers, the school education and the social impact.Aiming at these problems, the internal and external causes of non-teaching load problems are analyzed respectively by using the "Matthew effect" mechanism. Finally, according to the thinking and analysis of this paper on the non-teaching work of rural primary school teachers in Guizhou province, the proposed Suggestions are mainly divided into three parts: Firstly, strengthen the basic management of the main position of the school;Secondly, strengthen the auxiliary regulation of the government and society;Thirdly, play the rigid guarantee of policies and laws.Through the adjustment and improvement of these three aspects,non-teaching workload of rural primary school teachers in Guizhou province can be alleviated,so as to improve their teaching ability and improve education level in rural areas of Guizhou province.
