'The Compulsory Education Mathematics Curriculum Standards '(2011 edition)and 'The General Senior High School Mathematics Curriculum Standards'(2017 edition)both promote the transformation of students' mathematics learning methods and cultivate students' ability to apply knowledge and solve problems.This requires the promotion of students' mathematics learning in-depth.Therefore,as a kind of active and critical learning style,deep learning shows a good effect on the development of students' thinking,the improvement of complex problem,as well as the solving ability and the cultivation of students' core literacy.This paper uses literature research method,questionnaire survey method,on-site interview method and case study method to study the situation of middle school students' deep learning of mathematics.Firstly,define the relevant concepts on the basis of literature review,and then investigate the development of deep learning.After that,take a certain middle school using 'deep learning' in Jiangsu as an example,carry out an in-depth analysis,and compile a questionnaire on the depth of mathematics learning.The students of the four classes in the first and second grades of the school were investigated.Study the overall situation of middle school students' deep learning of mathematics,as well as the difference between grade and gender,analyze the correlation between various dimensions of deep learning.Combined with teacher interviews and case studies,some effective strategies for promoting students' deep learning in mathematics are proposed.The main conclusions of the study are as follows:(1)A large part of the literature on deep learning is in the field of machine learning.In terms of teaching and learning,most of the research is theoretical,and there is less empirical research.Combined with specific disciplines,there are fewer studies on deep learning of mathematics and with limited research depth.It is necessary to carry out further research in light of the actual situation of teaching,thus promoting the development of deep learning of mathematics.(2)The general situation of middle school students' deep learning in mathematics is normal.Among these students,they have the best performance in setting mathematics learning objectives,and pay more and more attention to mathematics learning.And their performance of the level of mathematical thinking is worst.So they deeply need to further improve their thinking level.(3)The mathematics deep learning situation of middle school students is positively correlated with the eight characteristics of mathematics deep learning.Each dimension is positively correlated.Among them,the correlation of the transfer of mathematics knowledge and the reflection of mathematics learning is the strongest.(4)The overall situation of mathematics deep learning of middle school students is significantly related to gender.The mathematics deep learning situation of boys is better than that of girls,which is related to the characteristics of mathematics and the interest in mathematics learning.The overall situation of mathematics deep learning of middle school students is also positively correlated with the grade level.The mathematics deep learning condition of the first grade students is better than that of the second grade students,which is related to the difficulty of learning content and the pressure of learning.(5)Based on the data analysis of questionnaires,combined with teacher interviews and case studies,this paper proposes four strategies for promoting deep learning of middle school students from the perspectives of students,teachers and evaluations.So that it benefits for further research on deep learning of mathematics.
