Deep learning is an important way to deepen the curriculum reform and implement the core literacy,while it also is a popular research topic in education.The purpose of teaching materials is to overcome the abstraction of language expression,increase the teaching intuition and help the students understand the knowledge.Since mathematics is an abstract and logical subject,combining deep learning with teaching materials,and using the methods of literature research,questionnaire survey and classroom observation,this thesis implements an investigation on the current situation of the use of teaching materials in senior middle schools,makes the detailed analysis of the investigation results,and then puts forward some strategies for the use of teaching materials to promote senior middle school students deep learning in mathematics.The main contributions of this thesis are as follows.(1)This thesis investigates the current situation of the senior high school students' mathematics learning and the use of teaching materials in the senior high schools from view of the teachers and the students.The results show that 86.6% of senior high school students have some burdens in mathematics learning and only reach shallow level of learning;93% of teachers and 75% of high school students think that the use of teaching materials can promote the deep learning of mathematics,but the strategies of the selection and use of teaching materials for teacher need to be improved.(2)Based on the constructivism learning theory,the cognitive flexibility theory and the learning pyramid theory,in order to promote the students' mathematics deep learning and cultivate the core literacy of mathematics,this thesis puts forward the selection principle and application strategy of teaching materials in the senior high school.In addition,the selection principles are: the principle of teaching content,the principle of teaching objects,the principle of teaching conditions,and the principle of learning stages.The application strategies are: the time when teaching materials are presented,the period of using teaching materials,and the diversification of using teaching materials.(3)Two teaching designs are presented based on the proposed selection principles and application strategies.Firstly,a framework of teaching ideas based on our principles and strategies is proposed.Secondly,the teaching processes of “Properties and images of sine-type function” and “Mean inequality and its application” are designed by using this framework.Finally,the teaching practice and the effect of the latter are analyzed.This result verifies that the reasonable use of teaching materials can promote the deep learning of mathematics for the senior high students.
