Area play has an important role in the overall development of young children.Teachers should give young children appropriate guidance in area play.In this research,a combination of quantity analysis and quality analysis was carried out to observe and interview teachers in the kindergarten in Suzhou to know the guiding behavior and guiding ideas of teachers in area play for children aged 5-6 years.Through the analysis of the guiding situation and the guiding behavior of the teachers,the advantages and disadvantages are found.The research discusses the influencing factors of teachers ' guiding behavior,and puts forward some suggestions for the shortcomings of guiding behavior.The results are as follows:The frequency of teachers ' guiding behaviors is high;the guidance behaviors mainly occur in mathematics area,construction area,scientific area and art area;the guiding behaviors are mainly initiated by teachers;the teacher' s role is mainly educator;the guiding behaviors mainly focus on contents and methods of play;teachers often give timely guidance to children;The specific time of' guidance are mainly that young children seek guidance from teacher and teachers ask for the situation of children's play;the type of guiding way is more single,mainly in the form of language guidance and the guiding way is dominated by individual guidance;Teachers have more neutral mood;and the guiding effect is mainly positive effect.In addition,the researcher analyses the situation of teachers 'guiding behavior,teachers' good guiding methods and strategies,and the shortcomings of teachers' guiding behavior.Teachers ' guiding behavior is influenced by such factors as teachers'concept,teachers ' ability,ratio of teachers to young children in class and the number of young children in the region.Based on the shortage of teachers' guiding behavior,the researcher believe that teachers should balance the areas and contents of guidance to promote the all-round development of young children;respect the autonomy of children,reduce unnecessary intervention;carry out in-depth observation,find the opportunity of guidance;use many ways,flexibly guide the play of children;reflect upon their own guiding behaviors,promote conversion of theory into practice.
