Chinese has gained a powerful momentum in Germany and the number of Germany students learning Chinese is steadily on the increase.In the current situation,the number of students who are learning the Chinese in Germany is larger than that in China.The efficiency and effectiveness of students are closely related with strategies which are used.A proper and suitable studying strategy is beneficial to the enhancement of the level of students' Chinese and strengthens students' interest and confidence in Chinese-learning.By this token,it is necessary to study the use of learning strategies of Germany middle school students who are not in a target-language environment.The research result would also help Chinese teachers and volunteers for foreigners conduct the work of teaching to the point so that students can behave better in implementing learning strategies.In the first,this thesis commences with the influence of Chinese in Germany,the process of Chinese Language course in the middle schools in Germany,the importance of learning strategies,learning strategies of Chinese as the secondary language and research status of Chinese teaching by German and states the significance of this study which takes a research on strategies of Chinese learning used by Germany middle school students.Later,on the basis of the research on the language-learning strategies when Chinese is the secondary language,this thesis takes quantitative and qualitative researches,uses a questionnaire,takes Schiller Middle School in Marbach,Germany as an example and adopt questionnaire.Firstly,it concludes the general usage situation of Chinese learning strategies and features;secondly,it analyzes several learning strategies under high frequency usage condition.Then,it analyzes the influence of individual factors on learner's use of Chinese learning strategies from the aspects of gender,age and background and so on.After that,on the basis of the conclusion and the observation of Germany Middle Schools when I was an intern,it brings forward relevant advice towards the future teaching and an example.Finally,conclusion summarizes the research results of this thesis,points out shortages of this thesis and indicates ideas of further study.
