| "Compulsory Education Mathematics Curriculum Standards(2011 Edition)"sets up the field of "synthesis and practice",the purpose is to give students an opportunity to understand and do mathematics through the process of practice and synthesis."Interpretation of Mathematics Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2011 Edition)" pointed out that "the process of students learning mathematics knowledge is not passively accepting mathematics knowledge,but actively constructing through their own activity experience and accumulating mathematics activities in diverse mathematics activities.Experience can really understand the meaning of mathematics." In order to implement the requirements of the new curriculum standards,the junior middle school mathematics textbook of the PEP edition has set up a "Mathematics" column,which is the specific implementation of the "integration and practice" field in the textbook.The Singapore NMC edition of the junior high school mathematics textbook is based on the Singapore Mathematics Outline,focusing on the design of mathematical activities.The "Enrichment maths" column at the end of each chapter has a similar form and function to the "Mathematics" column of the PEP edition.This article uses the literature research method,text research method and comparative research method,and selects the "Mathematics" column in the PEP edition of the junior high school mathematics textbook(6 volumes)and the’Enrichment maths" column in the Singapore NMC edition of the junior high school mathematics textbook(5 volumes)as the research object,combined with the existing research,builds a textbook analysis framework,and conducts text analysis from nine aspects:the number of activities,the length of the activity,the situation of the activity,the subject of the activity,the type of activity,the problem statement,the contextual relationship,cognitive needs,and the application of information technology.This study found that:(1)In terms of the number of mathematical activities,the PEP edition is much higher than the NMC edition;but the average number of questions included in each activity,the NMC edition is higher than the PEP edition;(2)In terms of the length of mathematical activities,the PEP edition is shorter than the NMC edition.The PEP edition is mostly 0.25 to 0.5 pages of mathematical activities,and the NMC edition is mostly 1 page;(3)In the setting of the mathematical activity situation,the proportion of mathematical activities in public life and scientific and cultural scene is lower than that in NMC edition;(4)In the setting of the main body of mathematics activities,the main body of the two editions of the textbook mathematics activities are mainly students’ independent exploration;(5)In the setting of the type of mathematics activities,both versions are set in the lower grades more types of activities;(6)In terms of problem expression,the PEP edition focuses on interrogative sentences,and the NMC edition has the same proportion of declarative sentences and interrogative sentences;in terms of problem type settings,the PEP edition accounts for open and closed issues the proportions are equivalent,and the NMC edition focuses on closed issues;(7)In terms of context,the NMC edition of the application expansion type of mathematics activities accounted for more than the PEP edition,and the NMC edition focuses on understanding the same type of knowledge points through different mathematical activities;(8)At the level of cognitive needs,the cognitive difficulty of the mathematics activities in the two textbooks is basically the same;(9)In the application of information technology,the types of information technology tools applied by the NMC edition and the PEP edition are the same,and the NMC edition is applied.The mathematics activities of information technology account for a higher proportion,and focus on the construction of Internet resources.This study found that the Singapore NMC edition of the junior high school mathematics textbook has the following characteristics:mathematical activities contain many problems and large space;focus on penetrating mathematics culture and national awareness in mathematics activities;mathematics activities focus on the comprehensive use of different knowledge;mathematics activities focus on information technology and the use of Internet resources.Combining the characteristics of the Singapore NMC version of the junior high school mathematics textbook,the following suggestions are made for the compilation of the "Mathematics" column in the junior high school mathematics textbook of the Chinese PEP edition:(1)Take into account the quantity balance of mathematical activities and the details of activity design(2)Mathematical activities to increase the context of public life and the history of mathematics(3)Increase application and expansion mathematics activities(4)Strengthen the use of information technology and Internet resources in mathematical activities... |
