In the context of the new curriculum reform,STSE education has become an indispensable educational concept in the physics curriculum.The 2017 version of the Physics Curriculum Standard mentions STSE education in the nature of the curriculum,basic concepts,curriculum objectives,teaching suggestions and textbook compilation suggestions,and classified STSE education as ‘scientific attitudes and responsibilities' of the core physics.It can be seen that STSE education plays an important role in the physics curriculum.This article uses the literature analysis method and the comparative research method to carry out two aspects of the content and comprehensiveness of STSE education in the old and new physics textbooks(the2017 and 2010 editions of the "General High School Curriculum Experimental Textbook" published by People's Education Press,respectively).The following conclusions are drawn through comparative studies:(1)The content and comprehensiveness of STSE education in knowledge,reading materials and exercises of the new version of physics textbooks are higher than those of the old textbooks,but still not enough.The use of highly comprehensive STSE educational content in teaching is more conducive to the cultivation of students' scientific attitudes and responsibilities.(2)The content and comprehensiveness of the STSE education in the experiment of the new version of the physics textbook have not changed much compared with the old version of the textbook.The content is more life-like,the equipment is more modern,but there are fewer exploratory experiments,and the connection with the "social and environmental dimension" of STSE education is insufficient(3)The new version of the physics textbook has set up a problem situation before almost every section.Problem situations are suitable for students to actively explore and think.It Can be combined with STSE education to develop students' scientific thinking ability.Through the above research,I hope this article can inspire teachers to understand the importance of STSE education to improve students' core literacy and comprehensive innovation ability.I also hope to provide some reference for the compilation of STSE educational content in high school physics textbooks.
