| In order to meet the international competition in the 21st century,many developed countries in the world started a new round of curriculum reform in the 1990s,and STSE education came into being.STSE is the initialism of Science,Technology,Society and Environment.Its basic spirit is to closely link discipline education with the real world and play an important role in improving students’ core literacy.In order to adapt to the requirements of talents and the trend of internationalization under the new situation in China,curriculum reform in China is constantly advancing,and STSE education has been explicitly included in the physics curriculum standard.After the promulgation of new curriculum standards in 2017,new high school physics textbooks were compiled,and the new textbooks compiled by People’s Education Press were completed in 2019.In the context of social development and STSE education philosophy,this study adopts literature research method,comparative analysis method and content analysis method to study the old and new curriculum standards and the old and new high school physics textbooks of People’s Education Press,in order to reflect the infiltration of STSE concept in Chinese curriculum standards and textbooks.Through the interpretation of the curriculum standard,it is found that the curriculum objective,curriculum structure,curriculum content,academic quality level and implementation suggestions are permeated with STSE education concept,and the new curriculum standard has higher requirements for students’ STSE education.In order to define and divide the STSE content in the text,this study developed the STSE content framework.The STSE contents in the text,column and exercise parts of the old and new high school physics textbooks are counted by using the framework,and the quantity distribution and content setting are compared and analyzed according to the statistical results.The results show that the STSE contents of different parts of the new textbooks have different characteristics,and have the following general characteristics as a whole:(1)updating a large number of scientific and technological achievements,reflecting The Times;(2)Improve the number and depth of STSE content,reflecting the richness;(4)Make clear the division of labor of columns to reflect the directivity;(5)Focus on different themes reflect differences.In terms of the presentation of STSE content,the new textbook is organized in an orderly way,which conforms to the law of students’ cognitive development.The illustrations are clear and concise,high-tech,beautiful and more intuitive.The language style is mainly popular science.Finally,according to the characteristics of STSE content in the above new textbooks,this study puts forward suggestions on the use of new textbooks from the perspective of students and teachers,and puts forward suggestions on the improvement of future textbooks from the perspective of textbook writers.Through the above research,it is hoped that more experts and scholars will pay attention to STSE education,help school teachers and students to better use the new textbooks,provide a reference direction for the compilation of future physics textbooks,and promote the innovation of Chinese textbooks. |
