The cultural gene theory is based on the biological gene theory,which focuses on the inheritance,dissemination and evolution of culture in social development.The acquisition of memes can be inherited or acquired,active and passive.In the gene map of Chinese culture,from the perspective of historical development,especially in the traditional mainstream ideology,the Confucian culture undoubtedly has a long history of powerful influence.Cai Yuanpei's aesthetic education thought includes the idea of replacing religion with aesthetic education,cultural movement,and not forgetting aesthetic education.CaiYuanpei's thought of aesthetic education is a precious theoretical resource of aesthetic education in China.Relative to a lot of influence from the western aesthetic perspective,CaiYuanpei's aesthetics theory in this paper,in the paper,a large number of historical data(such as CaiYuanpei's speeches and letters,etc.),based on the test from the Confucian culture gene level to unscramble the CaiYuanpei aesthetic education thoughts,the Confucian culture in this paper refers to the Confucian culture represented by Confucius mencius in the pre-qin period,in order to broaden the extension on the theoretical understanding of aesthetic education thought of CaiYuanpei and grasp,to today's school aesthetic education,family aesthetic education and aesthetic education has a practical guiding significance to the society.In this paper,the thesis is discussed in relation thinking,interpreted in comparison and analyzed in the organic unity of history and logic.In the first chapter,the relationship between CaiYuanpei's aesthetic education thought and Confucian culture is studied and discussed from the aspects of fact connection,affection and close and ceaseless relationship with Confucian cultural spirit.It is pointed out that CaiYuanpei is a "Confucian" thinker and educator,and "benevolence" is the basis of his aesthetic education thought.In the second chapter,we find out the signs or cultural traits inherited from the Confucian cultural gene in CaiYuanpei's aesthetic education thought.For example,they are concerned about the relationship between aesthetic education and personality realm,their commonness in the choice of implementing paths and ways of aesthetic education,as well as CaiYuanpei's sense of identity to the cultivation of Confucian rites and music and the system of rites and music reflected in his aesthetic education thought.The third chapter summarizes the creative extension of CaiYuanpei'saesthetic education thought to Confucian cultural gene.Although CaiYuanpei's aesthetic education thoughts are in common with Confucian culture,he explores and develops in the context of the country'stransition to the modern era.For example,he put forward such propositions as "aesthetic education instead of religion","cultural movement should not forget aesthetic education",pointed out the characteristics of aesthetic education,such as progress,freedom and no boundary,and "five education,comprehensive education",aesthetic education and science education jointly promote national rejuvenation,all show the transcendence and innovation in succession.
