In January 2018,the general high school biology curriculum standard was officially promulgated.The standard emphasizes the cultivation of students' biological core literacy.Scientific thinking is a part of the core literacy.It refers to the way of thinking internalized by human brain,which runs through the whole process of scientific exploration,and is an important condition for the formation of life concept and social responsibility,Therefore,we should pay special attention to the cultivation of scientific thinking in biological teaching.As a tool to help students understand knowledge and test their mastery of knowledge,biomathematics model appears frequently in high school biology learning.In the process of building mathematical model,it can effectively cultivate students' thinking ability of analysis and synthesis,induction and generalization.Therefore,it is expected to improve students' scientific thinking level by applying mathematical models in teaching.Through the research of relevant literature,the author found that most of the research on mathematical model is in the theoretical stage,and the research on the relationship between mathematical model and scientific thinking is also rare.The main content of this study is through the implementation of mathematical model teaching,to test the application of mathematical model in high school biology teaching on the development of scientific thinking of students.Firstly,this study uses literature research method to sort out the relevant research of mathematical model and scientific thinking,and determines the concept of model,mathematical model and mathematical modeling.In this paper,the common mathematical models in the two modules of compulsory high school biology(molecule and cell)and compulsory high school biology(heredity and evolution)are sorted out,including 16 table models,4 set graph models,12 expression models,6 scale models,19 curve and histogram models.Secondly,it analyzes the scientific thinking methods contained in different mathematical models.According to the steps of establishing mathematical models,it designs the teaching design with students as the main body for practice.The students of class 11 and class 12,grade one,Nancang middle school,Beichen District,Tianjin were selected as the research objects.There was no significant difference in the scientific thinking level between the two classes after the pre-test questionnaire analysis.Class 11 was the experimental class,class 12 was the control class,and the two sections of photosynthesis principle and application and cell proliferation in the compulsory module of molecule and cell were selected,and then carry out post test to investigate the development of students' scientific thinking level.Through the analysis of t-test results of paired samples of pre-test and post test results,it is found that the significance(double tail)of scientific thinking level I,level II,level III and level IV is 0.445,0.000,0.000 and 0.000 respectively.It can be seen that the application of mathematical models in teaching has a significant impact on the development of students' scientific thinking level II,level III and level IV,Because of the low requirement of the first level of scientific thinking for students and the basic requirement of the first level of senior high school students,there is no significant impact on the development of the first level of scientific thinking.Through the comparison of the difference between the pre-test and post test results of the experimental class,it is found that the average score of level Four of the four levels is the most improved,which is 1.578 higher than that of the pre-test.It can be seen that the development of scientific thinking level Four is more significant.In the end,the paper puts forward some tentative suggestions on the effective application of mathematical model in teaching,in order to provide a reference for the front-line teachers.
