Preschool practice is a necessary way to train future preschool teachers.To ensure the quality of students' internship in preschool by "mentors",the fundamental factor is the professional quality,guiding ability to fulfill their responsibilities.However,the current research mainly focus on the role building of the internship mentor through theoretical analysis.There is still a lack of empirical research on the quality and ability of the guiders,especially the preschool guider.Consequently,it is particularly urgent to investigate the current situation of preschool teachers' guiding ability.Herein,basing on the current literature,three dimensional structures of preschool teachers' guidance ability combined with open questionnaire and interview data have been summarized.A questionnaire about preschool teachers' guidance ability was also designed to implement the survey among preschool teachers.A total of 495 valid questionnaires were collected in the form of electronic questionnaires.Through the analysis by SPSS and the collation of interview data,this thesis discusses the current situation and influencing factors about the guidance ability of preschool teachers.The main findings to emerge from this study are as follows: Firstly,the practice guidance ability of preschool teachers is at a unsatisfactory level and there is difference between different degrees?Secondly,age and other variables also have significant impact on guidance ability.With the increase of teaching age,the ability of guiders is gradually improved.The guidance ability of teachers with bachelor degree is probable better than that of teachers with lower degrees.The level of guidance ability of teachers without professional title evaluation is significantly lower;The guidance experience and the times that preschool teachers participate in the training have a significant impact on the practice guidance ability.Thirdly,preschool teachers are lack of listening in the guiding,their communication skills still need to be improved.Fourthly,various elements of preschool teachers' teaching ability have different performance,designing and evaluating ability are weak.Fifthly,reflectiveability of preschool teachers is weakest during guiding,they lack reflective skills as well.The reasons for these problems are as follows: Firstly,the training mechanism is not perfect;Secondly,there are management loopholes in universities and kindergarten.Thirdly,the teachers guidance experience is insufficient.Fourthly,Demographic variables.Finally,by analyzing the current situation and influencing factors of guiding ability of preschool teachers,the following suggestions are put forward: 1)The selection criteria of preschool guidance teachers need to be more strict;2)The specialization of guiders should be strengthen and the training mechanism of guidance ability should to be improved;3)Colleges and kindergartens need to reinforce the management to create a positive internship atmosphere.
